C'mon, cut him a little slack. It was only his 2nd real game and I thought he played pretty good. I know lots of people were rooting for him to do bad so he doesn't get to play (which I don't understand) but how can you look for negative when his positives clearly shined over everything. He played great D, didn't look for his own shot and made some good passes. If you had a problem with his dribbling, I guess you missed Mike James dribbling the ball like he was Moochie Norris. Oh, and that one TO came at the cause of a full court press. Still though, 1 TO, 3 AST in 20 minutes is pretty good for a guy that is suppose to be turnover prone. Keep it up Stevie!
a TO is a TO but this TO was because he didn't play much with his teammates. he penetrated and drew defenders to the paint area and he intentionally kicked out to the perimeter. it was a little bit off the target. i believe the target was scola. giving him and other teammates time, he will definitely do better with his capability of penetration. so i am not worry about this TO.
did you watch the game or watch again? my suggestion is to watch again. how? go to buy the league pass. you will be able to watch the game again and won't post this dumb message.
I didn't watch the game but I can picture what you're describing (seen it far too many times). I'm usually a firm believer that a point guard's primary purpose is to protect the ball and run the offense. This first 10 games have changed that belief. I can deal with 4TO/gm from Steve when the alternative is 15% shooting from Alston.
Caught the end of the game. Surprisingly, that was Clyde. Might be the first relevant comment dude's ever made.
I love the comparison to Bob Sura, if he becomes the team's "Bob Sura" then he will add what's missing in this team: fire, heart, toughness. This team is so laid back it takes a six game losing streak to stir them up. And a team to lay down and present limited competition.
I'm just happy that the GARM is full of positives right now. I think all these "appreciation" threads and "trade" threads when good/bad things happen are a little corny, but I'm not complaining about the win. Also I'm glad Steve is providing lots of positives for us.
i was WRONG about Francis, as for now. i thought he'd do a lot of one on one, but he's actually letting the game come to him as opposed to forcing the action.
Steve was the Man! The crowd roared like it rarely does. Steve has big love for Houston and WE have LOVE for Stevie!! Steve brings Heart, the size of Texas!! Thanks for coming home!!!!! Go Rockets!! It's Time!!!!
Guys, I was one of the few fans praying that we lose as much games as possible until the coach realizes that Rafer is <<<< Francis. I hope he doesn't have to make me say those prayers again
I know steve is not in the best of shape but i don't know what it is but i feel i lot better when he's on the court i guess it's cause of his heart
Maybe he wants to prove to RA that he won't over-dribble anymore! Go Stevie! I think he will fit well in the overall rotation, he just needs more experience with these guys and he will be fine. He can be some of that energy and passion that the other cream puffs are missing. Hey, but they are our cream puffs!!
i wouldnt say i was hoping for us to lose, but when we did lose i found a positive in it for the very same reason. Adelman needs to stir things up and see what gives us the BEST chance to win every night
