I was mad at blazer-ben before too. Now I am convinced that he is developmentally r****ded. So I have decided to give him a break. I hope everyone else will do the same to this poor human being too.

So anyone who says Dwight howard would be a better choice then yao is a idiot?. damn delusional YOF's. go ask anyother forum and ask anyother teams fans who would you rather have, dwight or yao. i can assure you, 99% if not all 100 will pick a 22 year old dwight who is allready putting up 23 points 15 boards 3 blocks a game on 60% shooting.

You must be rejoicing that Adelman is the coach because he is making Yao the soft stiff you want him to be. It takes an injury and now a horrible coach to bring Yao down. I guess you YOH's will take your opportunities when you can get them.

i suggested trading yao for KG in the offseason and was met with alot of critisism. that would've been a great basketball move.

now coming to understand the $$$ coming from china, i am against trading yao.

    i have two comments:

1 - you can't blame posters for doubting yao or tmac and asking for a trade of either one of them. the fact is... they have glaring weaknesses. and when we LOSE 6 IN A ROW, there's really no excuse.

2 - where is all this extra china $$$ going? shouldn't we be able to go and build the NY YANKEES of the NBA? if not, why not? otherwise, all of this china $$$ is not worth keeping yao and his weaknesses (or tmac and his).

The NBA has a salary cap, so you can't just spend however you like. Les has refused to even spend what you are allowed though, so the Chinese money is going into his pockets.

well don't you think thats rediculous? i mean he should be one of the owners to PAY the luxury tax... assuming we are all correct in that $$$ is the reason yao will never be traded...

thats just selfish. he could build a bigger empire if he would use the money to go build the team and win a few championships.

What the heck are you talking about? We are in luxury tax land this year.

"The Chinese money" also helps the team because people might be inclined to sign here if they can make up for less salary with endorsement deals in China.

with James, Bonzi, Battier, Deke, etc.......................yes I do..............Kobe would bring "toughness" to this team.....something we lack..........

a lineup of Paul, Tmac, Battier, West, and Chandler would be sick.....but it would never happen, because N.O. wouldn't give up all that for just Yao and the Rockets aren't letting go of Ming.

Listen children, Yao is not going ANYWHERE. If Kobe can't leave LA, what makes you think Yao will leave houston? THis guy is our franchise player. He is the best center in the game, and financially what he does for the Rockets and our city is outstanding. Do you realize how much nation wide coverage we are getting this year? Take YAO out that picture and don't expect that.

I agree however, this time is and does revolve around T-Mac. Yao can easily be stopped, but once you put T-Mac and Yao together, it's a terrific 1-2 punch. It all comes down to the roleplayers on our team. If Bonzi, James, Scola, and now maybe Francis start providing a huge boost from the bench, there will no longer be any complaints about our gentle giant.

So, stop complaining guys. Think reality.

perfect my ass. Yao fans always dream that Yao could be the "man" of a team. If he plays with Kobe, he would be under Kobe's shadow forever, he would never be such a "man".

    Trade Yao = Y. JianLian + M. Redd.

That way we get athleticism and scoring without giving away the cow.

I find it hilarious how many r****ds here are hitting the panic button in NOVEMBER.

You want to trade the best center in the league for a freaking point gaurd. One who has never even made the playoffs. That, too, when we have several pretty decent ones, even if they haven't really played like it (or had the opportunity to play like it) yet.

This is never going to happen in life. You guys couldn't get Chris Paul for Yao Ming straight up. Chris Paul is the second coming as far as I'm concerned, a rare blend of Gary Payton and John Stockton, which is to say he plays defense like payton and he passes like stockton. The guy will probably be a Hornet for life.

He's a good passer, but I don't think I'd compare him to Stockton just yet. He's definitely not as good of a defender as Payton, though... nowhere near.

He is ridiculously good, of course... but no Rocket fan in their right mind would want to trade Yao for him. Especially straight up. Of course, there are very few Rockets fans in their right mind on this board right now.

But you know what? I would still check back once in a while to see how ridiculous some posts are in this thread.
