We say that Adelman is ruining Yao because Adelman IS ruining Yao. He puts him at the elbow where he sucks and refuses to put him in the low post where he is one of the two best low post players (according to an expert on the subject, SHAQUILLE O'NEAL). Yao has struggled and it is entirely due to Adelman's bankrupt coaching.

Adelman said that his vision for Yao is as a Vlade Divac. Man that makes me just want to come down to Houston and rip his head off. That is the most ridiculous thing I have heard and to hear it from the Rockets coach is extraordinarily frustrating and infuriating.

And no Murph23, I have never been on Adelman's bandwagon. I merely stop calling for his head when we are winning. I never wanted him from the beginning and everything I have feared has come true.

Uhm.. he was encouraging Rafer to chuck up a three anytime he was open (which is always), during the 4th quarter.. while we were down several points.. out of courtesy to his former employer?

Same cause behind his absolute shock at Bonzi and Scola's abilities on the court?

Francis didn't show up in the preseason, and apparently/supposedly doesn't show up in practice.. Have you all forgotten who JVG is as a coach? You think he would just let Francis waltz into the starting line-up or into significant minutes if any.. when he apparently didn't even outplay Luther Head (another player JVG overrated as a "great clutch shooter") in games meaningless to us, but that hold more meaning to JVG in deciding who plays or doesn't than it does to Adelman?

You're deluding yourself.. JVG would not be playing Francis over James or Alston or even Head for the same reasons Adelman isn't.. I dare say, there would be even less of a chance of seeing Francis play, if JVG were the coach.

Do you seriously think Bonzi would play? Would he have been as motivated and had those breakout games under JVG? Do you seriously think Scola would've gotten significant minutes he gets under Adelman?

JVG seems like a better coach for yao and the team at this point. I hope im wrong about RA, but seems like the offense didn't improve that much from last year (3pt shooting got worse, teams are still able to turn off yao or tmac) and the defense is no where close to last year. Given all the additions of the offseason, I think if JVG is still the coach here, the record couldn't be worse than 6-7

Have you guys notice during the Heats game that JVG has use the word "we" a couple of time in reference to the relationship with him and the Rockets?

His commentator partner jokingly said he needs to stop using it b/c he works for ESPN now.

That right there shows how much Jeff still loves what he once had. Also through out the whole telecast he gave the Rox all kinds of props despite their poor play...he was a homer to say the least. He actually felt downed when we were losing late in the 4th and you can sense that from him.

No but when you have played 16% of the games and the team seems to be getting worse it is time to worry. Consider that the Rockets are in the West where 45 wins likely will not get you in the playoffs and it may take 55+ wins to get you homecourt in the first round then you really start to worry.

I didn't expect this team to come in and click instantly but I did say that by 15 games in we should have an idea of what Adelman's offense could do. The clock is ticking on this team and before you blink we could be 25-30 games into the season still playing .500 or sub .500 ball.

maybe we can bring him in and have co-head coaches, with Adelman taking care of the offense and JVG the defense. That would great. I can't believe we already miss JVG.

I don't know what you guys are seeing Yao do wrong on the high post. If nobody gets open, then he has nobody to pass it to. There needs to be more movement without the ball. You can't say Yao is terrible on the elbow, because when somebody is open he finds them. FFS just wait for the offense to click. It's gonna take a while. When shots start to fall and the offense clicks, I hope the all the b****ing stops.
