Thanks don grahamleone, that a great video. I'm from Pakistan myself but have never gotten a chance to visit such places since I moved out of there when I was 2. Is your documentary posted anywhere?
No, not necessarily. Nobody cares that much. There are places in India that are heavily populated with Muslims and generally they got along just fine except for those instances you hear about on the news. I have a ton of family there and no one has ever had any problems oh yeah and india's dirty too
I'm not quite done with the documentary, but I'm thinking I'll put it on the web when I'm done. If you have any suggestions, I'm all ears. adeelsiddiqui, yes, pakola is not delicious. Unless you are in america and need a taste of Paksitan, then and only then, it's good to bearable.
im from karachi but moved here when i was less than a year old, and have visited back multiple times. however, I never saw some of the things you caught on the video which makes me embarassed that I dont even know my country that well. currently with all the negativity blowing from the media due to current events , albeit justified for the most part, has rubbed off on me a bit too. this was refreshing and much needed. It seems like the bulk of the video is from kashmir/islamabad if im not mistaken. Pakistan has that strange geographical dichotomy with the north being like its own country both in terms of climate, scenery, and culture. karachi will not be on my itenary next time I visit thats for sure.
"pakistan is dirty" - First Lady (RM95, quote material, we have here, hmmm?!???) WTF is that crap...? You are MEXICAN if you're born in Mexico, French if you were born in France, Cuban if you're born in Cuba, etc., etc. What the heck is that Half and Half sh*t? You are whatever country you're from. CONFUSED as someone posted earlier is right. You had me at dirty. DON GRAHAMLEONE, is the Movie Maker or what software...? You should have kept the song traditional instead of those crappy English lyrics on it. Nonetheless, a great video. Could have done without the lyrics.
Actually, thats mainly a American concept. For example, I had a girlfriend who was the third generation born in Korea. Regardless, she had a taiwanese passport and was not considered Korean. Many countries are like this.
This is true. I was born in Germany but my passport nor my citizenship is German. I think the rest of the world go by bloodline.
X Q's me? American schmerican. Don't try to be something else. Where were you born? That's what you are. PERIOD. Who gives a sh*t what "passport" you got or where you "live"???!!? So are you saying it doesn't matter where you're born ? Baloney. Your ex girlfriend had a case of the Confusionitis.
hey me too! Swoly-D, sometimes it's not always that easy. Say your parents are Pakistani but you were born in America. If you were brought up in a Pakistani house, generally you'll also identify with that culture a lot. You aren't always going to say you're American. It's more complex than that and yeah, you do get confused!
