Don't know if anyone posted this yet...

I caught the tail end of one of those 610 SportsFlashes on my way home from work. There was a statement released from Francis' agent basically stating that Francis was not intoxicated and that he has great respect for the HPD. There was also an interview with Mobley. I couldn't understand a lot of what Mobley was saying (it was after practice and he seemed to be breathing hard). Mobley basically said that he believed that Steve wasn't so drunk he couldn't drive and then was saying how he and steve joked about it a little...saying that now Francis can tell his kids that he got pulled over (um, yeah...real funny). Mobley also said that Steve was saying how some of the other guys in prison were yelling at him, "Hey Francis, where's Mobley?!!" Can't beat that inmate humor....

Here's something from the chronicle website:

A faxed statement late today from Peak Management Group, Inc., which represents Francis, said their client does not believe he was intoxicated.

"He has great respect for the police in Houston and everywhere. We are carefully looking into all of the facts in this matter, and will provide feedback once this information is recieved," the statement read.
