Francis is the key
.....but Adleman will make another boneheaded excuse like "oh the rotation needs more time to adjust....We are playing brilliantly right now....my offense is perfection.....rafer and luther are perfection"
yeah a 5 game losing streak carries no weight with this guy

I agree totally that penetration is paramount so of course I find our since we're sticking with Rafer and Luther in our rotation. Those two will rarely, if ever, drive and usually it's by accident.

Francis fits the bill for the athletic pentrator type. Mike James drives (and with ease) a lot more than people give him credit for. Who knows what Brooks can bring. We have some options that can help us improve in that category but it all starts with reducing the minutes of certain players.

T-Mac was getting great penetration last night, but for some reason was overly focused on passing the ball out. Had he stepped away from the jumper, we probably would have won that game... I don't think penetration is a huge issue for us since we do have someone of his caliber.

That said, better (and more) penetration would certainly be welcomed. But I still think this team's problems are 100% mental. There were a number of times last night where we simply passed too much -- was ironic, we would get complimented for great passing and then every time, turnover. We need confidence, and we need less conscience.

We WILL get better.

I definitely want Steve Francis to play! Nice videos poprock. :p

The thing I like about Steve is that he's passionate and stuff. I suppose Alston and James are too, though.

Penetration would definitely help though. Alston's penetration ---> missed/bricked floaters.

That is true, penetration is the key. And it's been what has been killin us the past few season. The problem was that in the past, we didn't have that type of player now to go to. The problem now isn't that, since we already have that type of player, but he isn't GETTING PLAYED.

Three words: WE WANT STEVE

Luther drives all the time. He just never finishes, and shouldn't be allowed to do much of anything except take open jumpers.

SF3 would definitely bring the needed penetration but can he handle the minutes? If you ask me, I say he is exactly what we need. But what do I know from reading my computer that Adelman can't see with his own two eyes. I trust Adelman, for now.

I totally agree with you, but i don't think we have that type of player on the team. We have no leader on this team with a take control attitude. They are not smart players either at crunch time. The shots that Rapher is taking WTF? He takes a shot every game with no one at the other end just him and the other team, he does this at least once a game. They do not know their roles on the team. Luther to me is lost on this team and good trade bait. Package him together with any of the other scrubs we have and get Lowry from Memphis.

Why, besides being on crack, would the Memphis GM make this trade?

Thats what she said.

Oh, and if penetration is in fact key SF3 is the lock. Or is it, if SF3 is the key, penetration is the lock. Oh forget it, you know what I mean.

Though I wanted Francis to play and I knew he can penetrate, I don' think
Adelman system need a player to beat his opponent with the ball while penetrating. Adelman system probably encourage players to run/penetrate
without the ball and receive passes from the ball handler (anyone with the ball)
to score.

His system is players moving fast into the rim without the ball causing confusion/deception to the opponent and receive passes made to them from the one holding the ball to score or th one holding the ball can score on his own when the opponent collapse on the penetrating players that are without the ball. That's why he need pure passer that can shoot to score but Rafer can't shoot to score. Rafer shoots to brick.

Question: Would the BBS accept someone taking such a leadership role and not be named Tracy or YAO???

If SF3 comes in and takes that role
people will lose their mind and act like he TAKING OVER
and THINKING HE BETTER THAN HE IS
and A CANCER

Even MJ or Rafer
we would scream they taking shots from Tracy and Yao

Cannot have it both way folx

"The BBS" will accept anyone outside of Tracy and Yao who hits their shots and makes positive things happen. If SF comes in and things improve, he will be embraced. There are some here who want him to fail, but they are just a vocal minority. I don't care who it is, whether SF, Bonzi, Scola or MJ.
