Simple question....

How do you feel Rick Adelman is handling the rotation of players?

Head & James should never be on court together at the same time. Pick one, but not both.

Head should never be given point guard duties. What the hell was RA doing over the summer. Did he watch any of the games last year when Head was handling the ball? He will literally hold the ball for 15 seconds w/o even moving a step.

first off noone here is able to judge his rotation. none of you have 1/10 of the basketball knowledge a winning coach in the NBA has.

I'm quite sure you were the only one that gave him the vote for genius. None of us might have the coaching knowledge that he has. But none of us is 6-6 with a team that is so stacked and was touted as the best since Dream, Barkely and Clyde. If the team is so good on paper and yet is not playing good, maybe, maybe, it might have something to do with the way the coach is using his players and implementing his play

Get a clue Rick! I'm no coach, but I could have come in and started last years lineup. On top that everyone one of them got over 30 minutes and Head got the most off the bench. Change? Yes we need some substance from you!

I know it's like he didn't even watch any tapes of our games before he started the job. RA definitely has not done his homework on our personnel. This should not be a learning process. he is supposed to build on top of what we already had. Instead he's fumbling through it and we're losing in the process.

Head with PG duties. you're right that should NOT be happening. Rafer has low turnovers but he always ends up coughing it up in the crucial moments because he can't handle the defensive pressure from the other team late game.

These are all things we've already known as a Fan because we've seen JVG do it already. It's really frustrating. RA is a good coach though but he just seems to be making some really rookie coach mistakes.

Give me back the dicatorship of JVG. Our players seem to need that discipline.

When you have a guy that gives you 20/10 on consecutive night against 2 contenders and you fail to introduce him on the offense then something is bad with the rotations.

Also something I didn´t understand, during the last 3 houston posessions Houston attempted to score and then foul to send the mavs to the line.

Why was Chuck Hayes on the lineup? his defense wasn´t needed for those posessions and he adds nothing to the offense.

Fact is that this little things are things tat great coaches don´t forget.

Rafer needs to be in the second unit to give them stability and to get yao touches with that unit. Steve needs to start the game and end the game

Move rafer to the 2nd unit with james and Francis starts that would leave Head the odd man out

absolutely terrible
and its not just the fact that Francis isn't playing (although that is a big reason)
He has no idea how to use our team. He doesn't realize Rafer is not that good. Luther is not a PG. He cannot intergrate Scola with Tracy correctly. He still doesn't realize that Yao needs to be down low  He doesn't realize that Mike James and Luther can't be on the court at the same time. He has way too much confidence in Bonzi. His offense is lackluster. His defense is non existent. JVG hello? Where are you Jeff???? We need you back???? (who would have thought that i would say that?)

RA is just plain terrible with his rotations. He has no gameplan against teams. He just seems to put out the starters from last year and then go with the flow from there. No real strategy to combat different teams on an evaluated basis of that teams strengths and weaknesses. If he does plan for that, they aren't very good plans as the results indicate.

I say that if he doesn't begin to start his best offensive players, by game 25 or so, Morey and Les will prepare to make some drastic changes themselve. I dont think they are willing to be patient to see RA screw up this year and hope it gets better next year. I think they are playing their time with him to see if he is who they want long term now also.

I have said it before, and I will say it one more time.....this should be our starting lineup:

Steve Francis
Tracy McGrady
Bonzi Wells
Luis Scola
Yao Ming

each should play over 32 minutes a game unless foul trouble or injury prevents them from doing so, not matchups or otherwise. This will build the chemisty among them that is necessary for a championship run.

Off the bench, first should only be dictated if foul trouble interfers. Otherwise, Shane Battier, Mike James and Chuck should be the first players off the bench. Kirk Snyder should also play with this group if starters need more rest. To bad we don't have Chris Webber to come in as a back up center where he doesn't have to be as fast as before, but his shooting and passing would be of benefit.

RAFER NEEDS TO NEVER PLAY! If Steve doesn't give us what we need after 5 to 10 games of consistant playing time, we should give the rookie his chance. Either way, Mike James should stay coming off the bench. Bonzi needs to start and know that he will get 32 minutes plus a game to get his confidence. He is a big cry baby, but we need to build his confidence because what he has to offer will help us when in the playoffs if he is happy. Cater to him for the purpose of winning.

Tracy needs to learn off to be effective without the ball more so that a dribble point guard like Steve can actually run this offense. We need to stop using Tracy as our point guard and make the other teams wonder where he is without the ball. It's easier for the other team to stop him when he is the point guard because they all then know where he is and how to help. You are taught to keep your eye on your man and The Man with the ball.

We need to learn to play some zone defense sometimes to limit our foul trouble and save some energy against faster teams, and to protect some of our slower players.

I think it's definitely marginal. Alston should not be staring. Francis should get on the court, and Scola deserves more PT because he's a valuable low-post presence.

rafer +7
battier +3
tmac +4
yao +7
hayes +18
james -22
wells -17
head -16
scola -8
mutombo -6

i assume you are talking about luis scola. in the suns game he had 20/11 and 20/9 in the spurs game, so that would be one consecutive night with 20/10, and that night would be a career high in both categories. i like scola's promising performances too, but that doesn't mean he has to play hands down. he didn't show up to play last night like he did the two previous games. if i were adelman i would have sat him too.
