but know that I, and anyone else who wants to make it known here, will still have faith in these Rockets to pull things together by the end of the year and have just as good a shot as anyone to go deep into the playoffs.

The funny thing with this board is, when things are going well all you see are threads of praise, but then when something like this happens, all you see is "trade Yao", "trade T-mac", "fire Adelman", "tear the whole thing down because the players that we've built around simply aren't 'winners'". Well you know what? I politely disagree. The sad part is that to a man almost everyone railing on the current roster and management today will turn coat later on and act as if they had always believed in the team. It pains me to see people flip-flopping on their criticisms of the team just because it happens to do better later. So please, if you share my sentiment of patience and loyalty to this franchise, let it be known here so our work in identifying the posers who are two horse-lengths shy of the bandwagon bumper come May will be made somewhat easier.

oh, it's absolutely great idea to counter all the "whining" threads with some "whining about whining" threads.. those are the best!

dude, if you don't want to be realistic and criticize this team, then you don't need to be reading this board (which is built on criticism and discussion).. if everyone was perfectly happy with the team, what is the point of a discussion board? what are we gonna discuss? Tmac's beautiful eyes? or Yao's thunderthighs? no homo.. :D

I suggest that you hold on well to your "bandwagon" and re-watch the glorious game a couple of times, a don't forget to look at our great 6-6 record and admire the great success of this team!

I agree. How amazing it is to see all these haters who crawled out from their holes to bash on our players now. We don't need you. Just crawl away.

I sadly say the Rockets, my favorite team, and Yao Ming, my favorite player, won't win the championship this year. In fact, they won't even be in the conference final.

Yao will put up meaningless numbers (23 points and 9 rebounds) and will not evolved into the player that he's capable of being.

So what happens when the Rockets get eliminated in the first round AGAIN this year, huh? I'll be one of the first ones to say that this team is NO DIFFERENT THAN LAST YEAR AND WILL DISAPPOINT LIKE LAST YEAR. There...happy? Because you sure won't be when the playoffs roll around. I've been on the site a hell of a lot longer than you and have endured a hell of a lot more so don't tell me I'm some "two horse-lengths shy of the bandwagon", rookie. If you think this team is 'the one' please be a man and repost this thread when May rolls around...mkay? Otherwise this 'oh I'm a true fan look at me, look at me' crap is all for not. This game killed me...KILLED ME...T-mac showed us what kind of player he really was and our 'roll players' did the same. Yao was great, but disappeared in the end when we really needed him...contained by a bench warmer  I thought this team looked great early, but they showed their true colors today. I'm sick of their crap and could careless if they actually made it to the second round this year (gasp) because I'm certain they'll choke it away somehow.

    The 07-08' Rockets!!!! IT'S TIME...TO CHOKE AGAIN!!!

yea, sure, do that. i bet u the indiannapolis colts had the same mentality a year ago when they won. EVERYBODY thought peyton is the typical choker. the team is a typical team that is finesse and won w/ pretty plays and can't win the big thing.

this team will always have doubts. the doubt if tmac can ever step up and get this team over the hump. the doubt if yao is truly a superstar. the doubt if the role players can ever be consistent.

before this team wins, i expect A LOT of doubts. peyton was called a great reg. season player but never a big time player. he FINALLY (after years) proved them wrong.

i think tmac can still do that. this team HAS potential. the 3rd quarter was a thing of beauty offensively. but we have to do that for 4 quarters and not stretches. that's why i "DON'T GIVE UP" yet b/c well, IT'S BEEN 12 GAMES.

secondly, the reason we lost is b/c when tmac sat down, our offense got stagnant b/c we tried to feed yao but no one can do anything to give him the ball. hopefully adelman can realize maybe francis can try this. sure francis might not fit w/ tmac. but let him have a go when tmac sits down. so that's an option adelman still hasn't (and hopefully will) use.

again, before teams win, they must break through.

hakeem struggled in the playoffs for years before he broke through. same w/ jordan. shaq and kobe lost in the semis for several years before breaking through w/ phil jackson.

this team can break through. BE PATIENT DAMMIT.

didn't people see the colorado rockies this year? they were average for most of hte year but suddenly clicked and BOOM, goes to the WS.

this team has not CLICKED one bit. but we've beaten some great teams (utah/spurs) and lost very close ones.

again, if we play like this and don't grasp the offense by the ASG, then yea, u can hop off.

    You're comparing us to the Colts? I'm glad you're unrealistically optimistic...I'm not...sorry.

now put yourself in the position before last year and see how colts fans were (before they won).

look at all the criticisms they faced. look at all the criticims peyton faced (u do know before last yr, peyton HAS NEVER WON in high school, college, or the pros--he was NEVER a winner).

i'm not comparing us to the colts after they won. im talking about the colts before they won the SB.

Most need to vent after loses that should not have happened. RA had three days to prepare his offense and he still reverts to having T-Mac do everything in regards to facilitating the offense. RA needs to do a better job and the excuses are n/a any more. I will always root for the Rockets and I live down here in Rio Grande Valley where the Dallas Cowboys, Spurs, and Astros are kings.

Today is my birthday and I have grown up watching a man get blown away every year(JFK) and just want the Rockets to win and be an elite team and it just hurts everytime I get my hopes up only to have torn to pieces everytime. I will here till the end and sometimes I will rant and rave because damn it I care to much for the Rockets. I wish they would but Houston on their jerseys instead of Rockets.

I believe the Rockets will get it together. Better lose now than later! We will click in a couple months. I will still watch all the games and support them!

From what I have seen so far, this is a different team than last year's. Obviously the personnel are more complete, if you dont see that you are stupid. Given time, our offense will come around like a machine. Defensively, we are slipping, but still plays hard. Out of 6 losses, so far, the Memphis game we shouldnt lose, the laker home game we shouldnt lose. We would like to beat SA, Dallas, Phoenix, but we didnt because we arent as good as them right now. But I believe we have the potential to be as good. Keep your faith. We are really fine. We hung close with Dallas and San Anton. I could see their fear.

    Hey C'MON.....

I don't know about the first part of your claim that Rockets is your favorite team.

But judged by all the posts you'v posted dissing and bashing Yao Ming left and right after a 30 point/15 rebounds/6 blocks/41 minutes/2 turnovers performance, I seriously doubted and challenge your sincerity saying Yao Ming is your favorite player, hypcrite !!
