How bout instead of brilliantly trading away the best center in the game and head and shoulders the best shooter on the team, we do trade some terrible players for a really good shooter. Or just trade Tracy I got a bobo Mcgrady and whoever else for Kobe and win about 4 titles in a row.

Yao is untouchable and is the #1 option on the Rockets. TMac is the facilitator, Yao is the main scorer and the offense goes thru Yao.

Sorry TOFs, you guys need to stop daydreaming.

Trading Yao will be a reality we'll have to face once he gets into his 30's and starts to deteriorate physically. For the time being though, sticking with him is the no-brainer thing to do.

With Yi entering NBA, I think only half of Chinese NBA fans will care about Yao. Yi gets 20 points is more interesting and exciting than Yao gets 30 points. So don't worry about the market, it's already decling for sure.

Give us proof how all those names you mentioned managed to stop Boozer. If you are unable to provide the proof, you are just spinning bullsh!t and plucking names from the air.

Dude, no freaking center is able to fully guard people like Nash, Kidd, Deron, Paul, etc. If Chris Paul torches the Spurs, do you see people calling for Duncan to be traded because he could not guard Chris Paul? Who the hell was suppoed to be guarding Devin Harris IN THE FIRST PLACE???

That is just your opinion. My opinion is that your opinion is wrong, misconceived and misguided. My opinion is also that you are one ungrateful fan. My opinion is also that you should be joining the chorus asking Rafer to be traded, not Yao.

If Yao is the #1 option for the Rockets, I afraid the Rockets not only will not win a championship anytime in the future but also won't be in the conference final.

Yao is too scared to be the go-to guy.

BTW, 6 blocks is an indication of defensive liability?
no, an indication of a defensive liability is the inability to stop a 6-2 guard from getting a layup and better yet, foul him for the 3-point-play that pretty gave Dallas the lead which they never lost after that...

once again, I think Yao is a great player, I think he had a wonderful game with a double-double and six blocks.. but I can't resist the temptation of thinking about who we can get if we traded him.. I just don't see this team winning it all if he is the primary player..
Boozer's STAT
25pts 8reb vs Howard
21pts 12reb vs Duncan
24pts 11reb vs Yao
19pts 14reb vs B. Wallace
15pts 9.5reb vs Garnett
20pts 10reb 5ast vs R. Wallace

Surely every Big Men in the league can guard Boozer
Make sure u show up again to refute my arguement
(i dont even know why i wasted my time to look up the stat for him, who just pull something out of his rear-end and not backing it up with anything)

Can yao override Tim Duncan eventually?
if not, trade him!
Once soft, never to get straight. Harris helped to prove that again tonight.

I got slammed for even suggesting to trade Tmac. I figure that out of him and Yao, the rockets would be more apt to trade Tmac because of the china factor.

Of course, everyone here would rather cut off their right testicle than to even suggest a trade like that, but the rockets are seriously going nowhere with the 2 headed monster.

Apparently it is very fashionable to bash on Yao. Especially since he just had a game where he had 30 points, 15 boards, 6 blocks, only 2 turnovers, on 11/18 from the field and 8/9 from the line.

Numbers can be deceiving. For example, Yao scored 30 points and 15 rebounds tonight. But, did he play well?

He's 7'6" but he was disappeared in the 4th quarter until that foolish foul on Harris and the one he got fouled.

Yao making defensive stops on penetrating guards from opposing team is a secondary option after the first line of defense on the perimeter. The onus is on our own guards to play solid defense in the first place. Head is not the only defensive liability on this team, Alston and James are no better. It's stupid to place blame on Yao for the poor defensive jobs done by his teammates.

Yao coming out of paint to guard high screen pick and roll is not a sound defensive strategy when you can have other smaller rockets do more on the help defense. Yao will always have own man to defend, mostly like in the low post. If his man is not involved in pick and roll, you should not expect Yao to come out because if he does, Rockets' interior gets weakened instantly.

Aside from the fact that this makes no sense for the lakers or the rockets, but especially the lakers, since they don't need another kobe who gets hurts more, and kobe would never okay a trade to this team with its current talent level, this is such a stupid move, that only delusional rockets fans think will get them over the hump.

Your TV Screen is deceiving as well, how is 30pts and 15rebs not a good game. Make sure your Cable/ Satellite TV provider boardcasted the right game for u. if you have DirecTV, their number is 1–800–531–5000

I saw the game in an different angle. i saw out guard constantly getting blown by and Yao is only a weak-side defender. I saw our guards shooting ill-advised 3pters. I saw a bench with no players on it. is this the game u saw tonight?

If people kept saying that Yao didn't play well when he scored 30 points with 18 shots, grabbed15 rebs and blocked 6 shots and only turned the ball over twice, maybe it really is time for Rox to trade Yao for someone else because I don't think Yao can do much better than what he did tonight on an even semi-consistent basis.
