Scola needs to be allowed to play thru his mistakes. Later in the season we need him aclimated and confident. He has too much potential to sit him down.

And for gods sakes bench Rafer and bring Steve out... sigh. Tmac and Steve side by side, now that would be a nightmare for any opposition. Steve isnt what he used to be and even so he is still better than all the other guards on this team.

It's the defense cost the game today. It's the coach's problem.

Steve would've been a good counter to Devin Harris' drives to the basket. It's still early in the season; RA should just take a "risk" and play Francis.

yeah except Rafer didn't lose the game for us, but you could say that T-Mac did with all those ill advised 3 point attempts......take it to the rack!

Mcgrady didn't shoot out of the games. Hell, he was the reason we even had a chance today. Sure, he didn't shoot well (I won't use the excuse of a strained shooting arm :) ) but he got Rafer and Battier out of their slump. This was the first game in a while that we played well as a team, just wasn't able to stop Harris or Dirk or Bass (wtf ?!?).

I'm curious, has any team every lost 5 five in a row and won a championship in the same season?

Yea i know. Rafer played reasonably well today but he isnt gonna sustain that sadly. In the long run he will hurt us more than help. We need someone out there the defense will have to respect. I like Rafer as a backup but not as the starter.

He was the reason we had the lead. He also contributed to blowing the lead by taking ill-advised threes. Offensive efficiency is hugely important and very often the difference between winning and losing. That's why turnovers are killers and taking bad shots are killers. They hurt your momentum, give the other team fast break opportunities and probably make your teammates upset at you.

I like Rafer as a starter. For another team like the Mavs!

Is there anything on press conference from Adelman after this game?
I want to hear his "reasons" and why he is still stubborn with the 5 games
slide. I believed we never had a 5 consecutive games lost when we won 52 games last year. We usually win 4-5 games before a lost and during when the year when Sura was playing before his injury, we had a 10-0 win run.

mavs got the rockets in a mismatch, different picks, and the players on the floor did not feel they had enough time to switch up again. harris was a bit stunned for a split second that yao was STILL on him...

No need to worry. We got the losing out of our system and we're going to pull off a 4-5 game winning streak to bring us back up to 10-6 or 11-6. Things will be much better from this point on. We'll start to gel soon enough.

    Sincerely,

    The Iraqi Minister of Information

Yao needed to play just outside the charge circle when guarding Harris on that play. He needed to dare Harris to get the ball and shoot or let someone else move to him on the perimeter. It was very stupid of Yao to go out and challenge Harris.

I'm with you guys on the frustrations, i just don't get what you all want. we have to be patient. Yeah I think SF is ready of a bigger role, I just don't want those nightmares of him dribbling for 20 seconds...if he starts doing that everyone lobbying for him to play would be calling for him to be benched. I'm not too worried about our rockets yet. T-Mac and Yao lead a lot more than we think they do.

I'm more sad today that my favorite non Rockets player is out for three months...(Gilbert)

I just think we need more time with the new players and in the offense so T-Mac can be recieving more than giving but I think a lot of his passes were because of his arm.

Dude, he was not "chucking" threes during our lead. There was only that ONE heat check that he had, but if you wanna blame someone, blame RA for having Tmac sit on the bench while Harris and sadly Bass cut the lead down. If anything, it was the Mavs taking advantage of Yao on the defensive side. Bass score 6 points on Yao during that stretch while Tmac was out.

deceiving stats, remember Dream was injured and we just traded away Otis for Clyde, meaning we have no bigs. new team adjusting to new teammates.
