Francis has been behaving very well so far. He's kept his patience. Though I think i may have already lost mine the way the games the been going. <HR> http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/bk/bkn/5319073.html Coming off his first action of the regular season — 23 minutes, 3-for-11 from the field, eight points and two assists — Saturday night, guard Steve Francis hasn't talked to coach Rick Adelman about his role. "I don't think there's anything we need to talk about," Francis said. "Hopefully, being displayed in practice, I'll get a chance in games to continue to help the team. "I've been playing the same way in practice since the season began. So I don't know. It's not a decision I can make. "Hopefully, it will change. But I don't want to have to keep dwelling on it. I just know what I'm capable of doing, and hopefully I'll be able to show it on the basketball floor." And if he doesn't play? "I wouldn't say disappointed," Francis said. "I would definitely be unhappy. I'm not going to cry about it. Definitely unhappy, but that's the way it goes for now. I've still got time to continue to keep myself sharp and get better, no matter what."
I feel sorry for Steve. James/Head/Alston must be shooting 85% in practice and that's why Steve cant play.
t-mac is much more talented than Francis, but why take a jumpshot?! at the end of the game?! when he KNOWS that his right hand just came back from an injury. If it were Francis, he would attach the basket, HARD, make the foul.
I wouldn't be surpried if he didn't. Mike james and Luther head as a unit just won't work. But francis and head or francis and james might. I rather have head though, as he doesn't jack up shots as much as james.
Yup. Francis would definitely drive. If only we could use that ability on this team ... Not to mention his fire to win (hatred to lose).
And he would give the stupuid Harris a punch, right in the face. Come on, Yao and t-Mac, the little Harris just screwed up both of you.
Actually a back court with Alston and Francis could be pretty good. Never liked James and figured he'd give us exactly what he gave the Wolves. Turns out I was right.
man we need to get jeff van gundy's favorite point guards rod strickland and brunson out of retirement. They can do better than rafer!
