ClutchFans Game Thread: Mavericks @ Rockets 11/21/2007

What a bunch of losers. Why nobody was willing to foul Harris hard even ONCE??????????????

 

This game told us a lot. It exposed all the weaknesses of our team for everyone to see. Even with the role players hitting their shots, you saw how the Mavs were able to systematically exploit all our deficiencies:

• Luther Head can't create off the dribble or defend bigger guards
• Yao Ming is terrible defending the high pick and roll
• At the end of close games, our offense becomes predictable, and too often it ends in T-Mac settling for a long jumper
• A weak ass bench

I couldn't believe that in a close game, Adelman would leave Yao in there when the opposing team goes small. It's the freaking Mavericks, they'll expose that matchup every time. And, like clockwork, we give up 6 points in two possessions on the same damn play.

 

This game was 10x more disgusting than 2girls1cup

 

What was Mike James doing on the last two possessions?

a) He was executing Adelman's game plan. If so, Adelman needs to go.
b) He thinks he's Dwayne Wade. If so, James needs to go.

To say those two possesions were pathetic is an understatement.

 

choked game... Scola didnt even exist tonight... Our bench needs to play much better basketball...

Execution in the end sucked balls. That last pick and roll between T-Mac and Yao was terrible. They were too close together and T-Mac passed too late. Man, this is getting annoying, ****ing a! SUCKS!!!!!!

 

Juwan is smiling cuz it feels so good not to loose these tight games for once.

I can't blame Yao or Tmac for the most part they played well. I blame the role players. Bonzi,Scola,James,Head were non-existent. The difference between the teams is that there are 5 players on that team that can score 20+ on any given night. Right now the Rockets are a 2 horse team still. And we have no ****ing killer instinct

 

I can't explain enough how absolutely sick to my stomach I am right now after watching this collapse. Our guards and defense make me ill.

We made ****ing Harris look like an All-Star. Unbelieveable. Our coaching in late game situations also makes me pissed. I'm sick of this ****.

Yao went 1 for 5 after going 10 for his first 13... only pluse is he got 15 rebounds...

Tmac went 6 for 19 only plus is he got 12 assist!!!


here is a game where you needed to either rest Yao more

or have Tmac shooting more in the 4th....

 

Rick Adelman was clearly outcoached.
We just have 2 dependable players and that is not going to make it. So many role players that are not consistent.
Battier is overrated. Hayes another overrated player. We have to play most of the times 4 against 5 when he is on the game.
We need to get consistent players that can hit the mid-range jumper.
Bonzi should just penetrate and forget about shooting from outside.
Rafer sucked again.

 

changes have to be made. that's all i am going to say. i still believe we're a championship caliber team, but the offense becomes so stagnant b/c it's all tmac and yao down teh stretch.

notice how dallas can go to multiple players down the stretch b/c of matchups: dirk, harris, howard, even freakin bass.

 

No it wasn't we blew a big lead of 16 points at one point and we choked with some brain-damaged plays.

Rafer missed 2 consecutives 3s in the 4th. The guy is a moron.

 

- For all the facilitating McGrady did, he shot poorly from the field and had several turnovers
- Iffy defense at the end.
- McGrady must be absolute KRYPTONITE to Scola - ZERO points
- Bonzi's crapping it up

 

Stackhouse is a major *******. Totally classless.

Someone in the Rox should just knock him down, hard!!! This team has no heart whatsoever!!!

 

i never liked Adelman he is looking like a real homer with his lineups and play calling. I was never a big JVG fan but the two years that he had Tmac and Yao we never experienced a 5 game losing streak. You need to change your starting five namely with gayfer wtf is up with that three point shot in the 4th quarter when we are up by 4 with no one underneath the basket? Granted he had a ok game by gayfer standards but I cant really stand him no more. Is it me or was I the only one cheering for the rockets to lose because I know a change has to be made. WTH is Stackhouse doing dunking instead of letting the time run out and devin harris punking BOTH of our super stars. I dont know about you but if I was in the game next time that lil kid takes its to the hole I am going head hunting

 

Yep. We are one of the worst teams in the NBA. Adelman isnt the right fit for this team.

 

rick adelman sucks. why is tmac always sitting at the beginning of the fourth quarter he needs to be in there, take him out earlier. we lose the lead/game at that time every game

 

looked like a Capers 2 minute drill to me there at the end. just disgusting.
