Def Howard. The man is a beast. incredibly strong and he is developing his post moves. 22 and 14 is no laughing matter

    Dwight.

Hell, right now I'd take his 22.4, 14.3, and 2.4 blocks on 57% shooting any day over Yao's current 22, 9.8, and 2 blocks on 49% shooting.

Come on Yao, get your sh*t together.

As much as I love Yao I agree with this. Yao has been underwhelming this season while Dwight has been tearing it up.

I still voted for Duncan, because Duncan is still a great player and although struggling now is still a top-15 player. We'll see if his seeming decline is real or a mirage by the end of the season.

w/ the way our offense is structured, we need yao 1-on-1 skills. howard is still not there where u can give him the ball and tell him "go get me some points" the way yao can v. duncan 2 games ago or how he has been this season.

he's just struggling v. fronting defenses. every defense can be deciphered somehow and we'll find a way.

If TD is a Center then he is the guy. Also, I certainly think that someone can make an argument that Dwight is better than Yao this year.

Personally, I still think TD is a PF and Dwight is still half a notch below Yao.

BTW, anyone think Dwight has a great shot at leading the league in rebounding for 10 straight years? How amazing would that be?

Why don't just go to see Magic, Spurs, Celtics, or Suns' games, and become a fan of them? I think that is more simple!

    Agreed......!!!! ^5

For all of his imperfections and immobility, I wouldn't trade Yao for any of the centers on the list, except for maybe Shaq in his prime or younger days.

    Everyone else no.....

    1. For one, D-howard or Amare haven't shown me that could carry a team by themselves, last time I checked.

D-Howard's team barely made it to playoffs and they got swept, and didn't even win 40 games last year.

Amare is pretty much the same without Nash, I doubt he could carry team to playoffs as primary superstar or was the player who constantly gets tripled or double teamed.

Why any team double or triple a player on the Suns when everyone in top 8 players has 23 foot shooting range. No wonder he doesn't ever get triple teamed because his team-mates are really good shooters.

On top of that, he's not great on defense, some of you Yao-haters would be falling out of your chair after watching Amare played defense. You would see a player with above average defense leave, and player who is sub-par defender come in.

A lot of you will be calling for his head, you all constantly talk about and obsess over Yao picking up fouls and being beat by the likes of Boozer. But return, you would get player who not put as nearly as much effort defense, and let guards come into the lane with uncontested shots and dunks and someone who can't stop a post-oriented power foward center.

You fair-weather fans make me sick, sometimes.

I think it would be even more simple if you checked the thread title.

photoblue11, you say Amare and Howard haven't proven they can "carry a team by themselves". When has Yao?
