kobe can carry a team pretty well, like most perimeter superstar players. that's why tmac can carry this team so well without yao. but shaq was just on a whole another level when he was in his prime. you put BASICALLY ANYBODY next to him when he was in his prime, you're guaranteed the playoffs of at least a top 6 seed. you put with him an all-star or superstar, basically you're a championship contender bar none. i never did like shaq b/c he got lazy as hell, but it's hard to deny his dominance in his prime years. EASILY the most dominant player in this generation since MJ retired.
