The Rockets will never trade away Yao due to financial reason. But if you insist, then consider this, Bryant + TMac > Bryant + Yao > TMac + Yao.
Yes this works for weak teams. This topic is really crazy. No one will sanely trade Kobe for any one. Even TMAC+Yao still << Kobe. do you think Tmac and Yao would bring last three years of laker to playoff? Shut up and sit down!
Much easier said than done when you're dealing with this kind of treatment every play night in, night out......
uh they beat the rockets, detroit, and the bulls. and they usually made their run with the BENCH. maybe if u watch the games before you speak, then your comments might be valid.
with kobe, the entire rockets team including yao will be ****ed up, just like what he did to LaL and Shap.
if you, and anyone else, think that yao and tmac cant win a ring, then that's fine you're entitled to your opinion. however, should we win w/ yao and tmac you should not be allowed to participate in celebrating. makes sense to me. ps. wtf is a dual core...
Hmm, lets see LAKERS: 2006-07 NBA 42-40 2nd, Pacific Division Lost West Conf 1st Rd 2005-06 NBA 45-37 3rd, Pacific Division Lost West Conf 1st Rd 2004-05 NBA 34-48 4th, Pacific Division (NONE) ROCKETS: 2006-07 NBA 52-30 3rd, Southwest Division Lost West Conf 1st Rd 2005-06 NBA 34-48 5th, Southwest Division (NONE) 2004-05 NBA 51-31 3rd, Southwest Division Lost West Conf 1st Rd If Phil Jackson didnt come back they'd look very LA Clippers like. I guess Kobe, Rafer Alston and Stromile Swift would went all the way to the Finals
And Remember the Lakers' lineup with Shaq but without Kobe? It was actually pretty good. Now contrast that with the Rockets' record with Yao but without Tmac. It's is horrible.
this was brought up repeatedly here in LA during the shaq-kobe turbulent era since both wanted to be the man. the stats were something like this: w/ just shaq - lakers were around 60-62% winning w/ just kobe - lakers were around 55% not a big dropoff, but still.
Interesting. For some reason I thought the Lakers had a losing record with only Kobe in the lineup during the Shaq/Kobe years. I gotta start checking my facts before I post, I guess. LOL
