I've been looking forward to this game for a while now and it finally comes out tomorrow. My dumb ass didn't reserve a copy in time, so hopefully with the big price tag it won't be too hard to find. Do you guys know what places traditionally sell games at midnight? So who else is getting it? I'll be getting it for the 360. Post in here so we can rock out tomorrow!
Nah I won't be getting it anytime soon. I already have GH3 and thats enough for me. I didn't like the setlist really and I don't like how they rehashed some of the GH songs. That is boring, there was maybe 2 or 3 tracks I was excited about when I saw the setlist. The rest made me snore.
See I'm just the opposite. The set list is what makes me want to get this game. All of the tracks from the 90's look good (probably cause I grew up in the 90's). I'm definitely picking this up tomorrow morning. Gonna hit BestBuy at 9am before work to get it since they're offering double RewardZone points before 11am and I have a 10% off coupon I got in the mail. If you want to try and get this at midnight then goto WalMart or the BestBuy on Richmond by the Galleria.
There is going to be a massive amount of downloadable content for this game. My copy was just delivered by Fedex an hour ago. Gonna have to decide whether to play it or flip it on eBay if supplies are as limited as the rumors suggest.
I believe it...I saw them unpacking these monstrosities at Gamestop the other day...they're freaking huge...and most places don't have infinite space for games that are as big as computer & monitor packages...
I'll be picking it up tuesday and ready to try out the rock band world tour mode with a friend.. though we can only hold around a 5 hour jam session before we have other priorities... Sucks that when I return home that night I can't do anyone rock band world tour mode because it's limited to only 2 players or more.. Thats a huge bummer, makes me want to beat the **** out of the developers How hard would it have been to make it 1-4 players instead of 2-4.. Please the masses, I want world tour mode when playing in the wee hours of the night and not just another tiered solo mode dammit, I can't be having friends come over every time I want to play the game and have free time. I've come to the conclusion that Rocket fans programmed and came up with the idea of the game while Mavrick fans designed it
I just called the Walmart near my house and confirmed that they will be selling the Rock Band bundles starting at midnight.
OK, might have to sell my copy. Selling for $300-$480 on eBay right now. The prices will probably drop a lot after it's officially released tomorrow.
Going to go on a late night Easter egg hunt for one. A friend and mine are going to hit up a couple of Wal-Marts in the area and if the line isn't too bad we'll get a set.
Well, I know if would be considerably challenging, but you can always play guitar or drums and set the mic up on a stand or somewhere. You would have to know the lyrics to a song by heart, but that is a lot easier to memorize than the notes on a guitar or the drum beats. I have this on reserve at a local Gamestop. I keep hearing about the shortages and I worry that when I show up tomorrow around 7:30 pm they will tell me they didn't have enough bundles to cover their pre-orders, even though a store clerk assured me this morning that they would. The bad thing is that I preordered this thing as a Christmas gift for my son...which means it will have to sit in a closet for over a month before I finally get to play it's rock bandy goodness. That's going to require some serious restraint.
Game should be a blast. I will be waiting on this because as I explained in the mass effect thread, I've more than blown my gaming budget for now. I will have to get it, and I'll be looking forward to it a great deal. I'm slow to get up to speed with these games or games in general, and I'm sure this will put me even further behind. It might make x-box live hard to work for me since I'll be the weak link in any band, unless I'm playing drums.
Call it pitiful but what if I had the song on my computer or on a cd and set the mic up to the speakers, think the mic would pick up the lyrics? That way I can play World Tour Mode alone without having to worry about playing two instruments (mic and guitar or drums), plus it would be an easy way to 5 star all the songs on expert (mic solo mode) and pick up some easy achievement points and cash that you can spend to unlock stuff.. Why wouldn't it work?
As long as the songs (esp. the covers) don't have any extra pauses or bits cut out, you should be fine. Assuming the mic picks up sounds from the speakers.
I'll be buying this, hopefully tonight...Wal-mart, and there is at least 1 BB that opens back up and midnight 2nite...
My local Walmart said they had 8 copies of the bundle for each console. I'm gonna head up there in about an hour.
