are u kidding me? go read the game threads even when tracy does not play, i actually still watch the ROCKETS wholeheartedly and talk about yao along w/ the rest of the team, unlike MOST of you YOFs who don't want when yao doesn't play or when he struggles. i watch the rockets, not the players.

tracy is my favorite player on this team but him not playing does not deter me from watching the TEAM, the houston rockets.

i just want yao to do what he should do to stop all this crap from the refs: throw a hard foul, get a T... that's the only way you're going to get their attention. that's all i'm saying.

but oh yea, you yao fans don't like CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. any bad things against yao is a => YOH. please, just stop it.

These guys learned 2 things from JVG. Defense and Don't Argue every call.

Sure I'd like to see Yao stand up for himself. Not just speak to the refs after a bad call, but go Duncan on them.

Unfortunately, Yao complaining to the Chinese media won't do any good. He needs to make a huge deal in the American media. Yao needs to grab Feigen at the next game and just start going off on those jackass refs. Yao absolutely needs to go apesh*t on 'em. And if that works fine. If it only helps Yao for the next couple of games only to revert to BS officiating again, Yao needs to lay people out on the court.

But only time will tell if Yao's got the cojones to implement these needed changes. I'm not feeling good on whether or not Yao will take the fight to the refs but at the same time, there's only so much a gentle giant can take before he explodes.

I agree wholeheartedly with this post from OGKash. The quality of posts on the GARM has seriously gone down lately with the influx of new posters. Certainly, this YOF-TOF thing has to stop. It's a far cry from the intelligent discussions around back when I was lurking 1-2 years before getting my account.

I believe the saddest person is Yao when Rockets lost 4.

I believe Yao was treated unfairly.

I believe something need to be done to change it.

BTW, VGD invented Yao + Hayes combination, and I always believe that is a joke.

Yao need to be agressive and not get blocked by guards all the time.

You stop Yao from getting fronted by playing different players, and tell the other players to stop standing around when whoever has the ball is trying to get the ball inside Yao.

The only way for fronting to work is for another man coming from the weakside to come from behind Yao and effectively sandwich him. When Yao is on the court without another effective playmaker. Teams don't respect Haye's offensive game (correctly so) enough to play any sort of defense on him. Thats where Scola comes in the fact that he can knock down those 15-20 foot jump shots will lighten the load a little bit on Yao.

Exactly...this is a subtle art that Shaq mastered. After a dunk he hangs on the rim and swings his legs daring anyone to get in his way. While Yao can't do this as easily, he should throw his body into it more when he knows he has a clear dunk. And absolutely, when he knows he going to get called for a charge, or even if a defenders gets called for a block, Yao needs to let that player feel all 300+ pounds of him. Let defenders know YOU WILL PAY for standing in my way.

Fine, I agree with you on this post. So it is Yao's fault that the players are standing around right? It is Yao's fault that there is no effective playmaker right? It is Yao's fault that teams don't respect Haye's offensive game right?

Frankly Yao already has the patience of a saint. If I had to face such physical abuse in a basketball game, I would most probably have lost my temper and clobbered someone. The fact that Yao has been very very patient all these years is already very remarkable.

Rockets need to edit out a tape of Yao's bad calls and send to the league officials.

And its because of the bad officiating that the rockets players is doing that? If you go look back at my posts I never blamed him about this. I was unhappy with the fact that he decided to goto the media to complain about the calls, when officiating is not the main problem.

Wow we got a spin doctor here.
We have some problems beating fronting and quick hard double teaming. Every team in this league has their weakness. And if you hack Nash, wont let him outlet pass, you will see how Mike.D reacts. He is probably going to exile to Italy.

We are talking about officiating on Yao here. Stop spinning around.

all Yao needs to do is next time anyone tries to reach-in and swipe the ball from him is to give him a nasty elbow on the face..

There should be no second team on the Rockets, no mass substitutions, only replacement players for the starting five. There should never be more than two replacements on the court at the same time. The Coach should never rest more than two starters at any one time. The starting team should never have two defensive players ie Chuck or Battier, giving the team four scorers.
The so called point Guard must be able to score when called upon to do so.
If this is to be Allston then his best chance to score is going to & penetrating to the basket,no more three pointers or floaters! With Battier on the starting squad the opposition knows that all five must be guarded as each can score with their special roles. Shane for instants can score with three pointers and hook shots to the basket. McGrady and Yao should never be resting at the same time. Chuch is very much improved but he should be a substituting player from the bench! Scola Dola can score and he isn't afraid to pass to Yao! McGrady and Allston need to learn how to set Scola up !
The Rockets should sing blue murder to the NBA - send a delegation !!
No more wrestling matches within NBA games please!
    :p
