JayZ, I have a pretty amazing furnished rental house, to make the move easier. It's on Pearl west of the mall, between the mall and the foothills. With an amazing 2nd story, master bed, with views and hot tub on the balcony off the master bedroom. Needlessly to say, I've been getting used to it. I'll start house shopping after thxgiving. That's the problem with the west side though; they say once you get used to it, you can't leave...and I can't afford any houses there, for damn sure. yes, that sounds like the perfect location. but as you correctly point out, way way way expensive, often for very outdated properties. i like this website for house shopping: www.trulia.com i'm sure you've been and know all about the scene, but if not I would definitely eat at the Dushanbe Tea House and The Kitchen.
The next big round of ARM adjustments takes place in Feb-March. I'd wait until at least then to see how things shake out.
