Should we aim for the playoffs or suck for the rest of the year to get a top L-Pick?

We are not in a good situation, when Francis will come back we will start winning again but still our chances to get into the playoffs are very low, I know that it sound bad to lose but at least next year we will be contenders and we could get a future stud or trade him for a good player (like clippers did with brand) , or we could play good when Francis comes back and win about 60% of our games but still we wouldn't be in the playoffs and we would probably get the 10-13 pick in the draft and then maybe in the good scenario we would get past the first round in the playoffs next year.
What so you think we should do?.

Wow, what a novel idea for a topic. I bet this has never been discussed before.

Sorry folks, frustration is setting in for even the die-hard optimists.

Are we assured of keeping the pick, cause I don't really know the exact conditions of the pick we owe Memphis for this upcoming draft.
