Last night against the Hornets the rockets played the last 5 minutes with the following line-up:- Anderson, age 26 Cato, age 25 Drew, age 25 Francis, age 21 Mobley, age 25 Average age 24.4 Oh how things change - that is a young team to be playing the pressure minutes. Do you think we have a promising future?
This weekend I saw Steve Francis toy with Brian Shaw, sending him back and forth like a yo-yo. Then I saw Francis explode to the hoop with a burst of speed that would've made Carl Lewis jealous. Then I saw Francis elevate and fa-Chrissakes hang in the air long enough to allow Kobe Bryant to float past him. Then Francis laid in a reverse layup. Everyone else in your post is icing on the cake. We have Steve Francis. We have a future. Simple as that. [This message has been edited by BrianKagy (edited February 02, 2000).]
I'd agree with Kagy. Francis is going to show this league what an unselfish, explosive point guard can do to a team's winning %. Isiah with hops. Give him a defense and team solidarity (things Kidd never had), and the skies the limit.
