i'm not worried about him. remember that this was the same guy that "winged it" all of last year. having said that, i really don't think he is. most likely, he's just in a very mini slump.

He's having so much trouble lately around the basket... just strange. Tonight he missed some bad layups. He's unique in that he can go inside ... really can create some mismatches, but yeah -- 33% shooting? Not good.

I dont blame him. Bonzi is tired. I recall Bonzi kind of having a muscle cramp at his leg at the end of one game (vs Bobcats or Grizzilies, cant recall which). So Bonzi's body is adjusting to the long haul season after one year lay-off. I think Bonzi will be more consistent after November.

We must lead the league in missed lay ups. Not only Bonzi, but Yao, Tracy, and Rafer.

I recall seeing Nash miss an open point-blank lay-up too....

Yeah, it's contagious. Everybody is missing layups, Bonzi, Hayes, Yao. And they are missing free throws too. :(

    hopefully????

there is huge problem out there for RA, today game, we shot almost 40more shots than suns, and +12 off rebounds, we lost 10 points!!!!!!

you know what, it is not tired, it is RA don't know how to use yao, or his system seems doesn't need yao, here is what happen, yao get 11points in 3rd , but we only get 19 poing in whole 3rd.

now, yao is losting, he is hestating, he doesn't know when to shot, or pass then he turnovered, especially, TMC is out, whole focus is on him, RA like JVG, does not know how to deal with when opponent in front of yao. to me, now like every coach in leauge know yao's weakness, uncless TMC back, yao will continue struggle, RA better find the way , and better quick find the way let yao into the system, otherwise, RA may end ROX day quicker than anyone think

Is only 10 games into the season, the players are already tired and missed layups? They should pack thier bags and go for early summer vacation in such poor conditioning!

He's missing mostly layups....just some bad bounces and tough breaks....the ball will soon start bouncing his way. They're layups so they're bound to go in eventually. It'll even out.

Hey lay off of Rafer. He is shooting 50% on wide open layups. That is so much better than any other aspect of his game. How can one complain? ;)

I agree with you, the next couple of days rest should help him and our team pretty well and hopefully Tmac comes back to avenge Mavs loss.

Yeah, Bonzi was coming along very well, McGrady gets the freak elbow injury, and suddenly Bonzi's minutes shot up. In the Lakers loss, the game Tracy wacked his elbow, Bonzi, who'd been averaging 25-28 minutes, suddenly played 41. He hasn't recovered from that. Obviously, he went from "comin' along steadily," with a bump here and there, but very well, over all, to playing huge minutes against the Fakers in a huge game. I would think his body is saying, "What the hell? Where's the trainer and the hot tub??"

He'll adjust. Give him time and pray for Tracy back, soon. I'm more concerned about Yao's play. Everything from Bonzi this season is a gift. Yao is the big fella carrying the team, with Tracy, night in and night out, and he's been having a difficult time without McGrady. Yao was getting used to Adelman's system very well, but without Tracy drawing double teams, passing, making smart decisions within the new system (not to mention his 29 PPG), Yao is a bit confused, getting even more attention from the defense, and feeling more preasure to perform in a system he's still getting used to. That, and our point guards remain a work in progress.

All this will play out and the Rocks will get back on course. Just keep your fingers crossed that we get back to being healthy, and stay that way.

Wells will be fine. He won't shoot like rafer for the entire season. He averages .460 FG in his career.
