The only "argument" I can make is that the more things change, the more they stay the same...Rockets aren't even a playoff team without Tracy. It's maddening, it's disgusting, it's...it's...predictable (sadly).

This team hasn't changed one bit. Different cast of characters, still a pretty damn good team, but ultimately not good enough to get to the promised land. :(

all he wants to do is to do all th work and give them open shots but that is not always what everyone wants, to just stand there and fire shots ;)

He doesn't move the ball and when he is playing he is the only one who can isolate his man and create,Scola needs the ball to be effective,T-mac needs to trust his temamtes to make decisions and alot of times who goes off on his own and the TEAM game comes to a hault. You have to build your teamamtes confidence by allowing them space tim eand oppurtunity to make plays.

Scola and head play well together

Head and francis play well together

T-mac and yao play well together

The rockets have alot of talent the key now is finding how it all works together.

tmac wants to give the pases only when there is an open shot, and you can't transfer everone to jump shooter.

No, Mike James should study Scola's game. I've seen Mike James ignore an open Scola many times. Tmac has gotten Scola the ball, but how many times have you seen Scola pass it off to someone else?

He is our best ball handler, so he should have the ball.

uh, have u seen his passes to chuck hayes? have u seen his passes to cutters when he's iso at the elbow? have u seen passes to yao on the pick and roll? notice he passes when they're all MOVING.

but if they stand around, then yes, they'll get jumpshots.

IF THEY CUT, tmac passes for easy buckets too.

it depends on what the role players do.

will they wanna cut to the basket or stand outside? tmac can't tell them what to do.

The other players rely on TMac and Yao too much. But i'm glad to see that we now have more players scored over 10p. We losed several games, but I'm more optimistic about the future games.

good examples. However, both guys you mentioned are not struggling they both play under the basket, the struggling ones are the shooters that are always waiting for him make his show and come to them and demand the ball on every position.

The problem is that Rafer and Chuck hayes are in the starting line-up....

And they are because they are the supporting cast for TMAC to do his thing. They are there just to pass the ball or make a no brainer shot, all the thinking is for him to do.

From my observations of the last two games
a] We are a little short in several positions
aa] There is talent on the Rockets
b] T Mac being the only true playmaker on the team needs to be its leader rather than the NBA best scorer! He could be more effective averaging 23-25 points and 8 assists.
c] Scola has emerged and plays must be run for him
d] Yao is floundering without the McGrady effect, also he has been hacked to death, pushed, shoved and grabbed with very few fouls being called. The Rockets should be screaming blue murder to the NBA about it!!
d] Francis is professional more so than his previous stint with the team, he needs to be incorporated and get fitter!
e] Snyder still fails to impress.
f] Rafer fair to good when going to the basket, Defence questionable!
g] Bonzi needs to rededicate himself
h] There's life still in Battier
hh] Head comes back to life- shows some confidence in himself!!!!!
i] Hayes like most of the players need a good nights sleep for a couple of nights in a row.
j] Nobody should loose heart over the last two losses, infact they give me great hope. :p

outside of rafer, i have full confidence james/battier/head will make their open shots (WIDE OPEN).

battier and james aint going to shoot 35% overall the whole year. rafer will.

his usage rating this year (before the laker game) is 33.5. that state tells you how much a guy has the ball and creates for baskets. he is #1 w/ kobe at a distant 3rd at 30.1.

tmac led the L last yr too.

but i think as we go along, he will be asked to do less and just focus on moving around himself for buckets.

I agree, but why are we asking these guys to be one dimensional on offense and only be there to shoot the ball, especially when they are not that old and they can attack the basket and put the other team in foul trouble easing the lane for YAO and Scola or even creating shots for their own.
