The problem should be more like: How RA should involve and utilize YAO best into this new offense rather than get rid of him/use him like brad miller...

Great. Just trade yao away. He will never get calls in Rox uniform.
it will be a great relief to both Yao fans and Houston fans.

Didn't you see how he was near auto in the fourth?

The wonder about RA's offense is that, unlike JVG's, stars aren't a necessity but an advantage.

Keep your stars. Decent players come and go but keep the special talent.

On many occasions people have accused posters of being on crack. Even suggesting they step away from the pipe and other cute phrases designed specifically to put down the poster. I always knew their comments were intended to be humorous but for all intents and purposes not to be taken literally. This thread is without a doubt the exception. The originator of this thread most certainly is on crack or cocaine or drunk out of his mind. Considering the time this thread originated and the message he posted there is no other explanation. THe only exception being he is mentally challenged or he is a troll and wants his team to trade for Yao.

So considering the likelihood this person was high or drunk at the time this post originated I must say without further ado...

    Step Away From The Pipe

    or

    Back Away From The Bottle

Please Visit a Local AA meeting ASAP!

P.S. If you are mentally challenged you have my deepest apologees.

this really isnt a bad idea. obviously yao's skillset doesnt match the skillset a C in Adelman's system needs. if we could get someone who could fill that role while upgrading the PG position then i'm all for it. i like yao but team success always comes first.

The reason Yao is being affected by the front is because the system isn't working yet. Everyone has to move without the ball and Yao has to be more effective from the outside. It has to be a 50/50 inside/outside or we will continue to have trouble. He has to be equally effective in and out.

I am not saying they cannot work together, but if Les has to choose between Yao and RA's offense, there;s not way he will NOT choose YAO.

Les Alexander would Fire Rick Adleman before he lets Yao go.

    1. Cash Cow
    2. Best Center in the NBA

If Rick can't figure out how to use Yao then it's bye bye Rick.

Trade him to LAL for Odom
Trade TMac to LAC for Mobley

With Odom running the point, and Steve and Mobley on the wings, it's over.

This thread is a joke right? I'm critical on Yao but come on, watch Yao go out and see what happens. We won't make it out of the first round

We never have made it out the first round with Yao/T-Mac so what's the downside?

Just kidding I love Yao I think he should stay although he might not be the perfect fit for Adelman's system, he is still a baller beyond measure. Adelman will go before Yao does.

This is a seriously stupid thread. If Adelman can't utilize the best center in the league, they'll fire him. It's that simple. However, I don't think Yao is looking bad at all considering he's adjusting to a new system. His stats are still good.

Hmmm, I'm not sure Yao is going to maintain his 'cash cow' status forever if his on-court performance deteriorates.

It used to be easier. As the only good player from China in the NBA, Yao's performance was not as important as his icon status. However, now with the introduction of Yi, Yao is no longer unique. He's not the only such product on the market and the potential competition from this market new comer, Yi, is strong. At this point, on court performance becomes much more important for Yao to maintain his cash cow status.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that Yao' ability at generating profits can go up and down - it is closely related to his peformance, more so than ever.

That's true. The NBA is full of 7'6 centers who can score 20+ ppg and grab 10+ rpg and shoot 90% from the charity stripe and happen to be from the most populous country on the planet.

I have to totally agree with you.

The only way Yao isnt a mismatch is when he is being played by the players AND the refs..otherwise he would be a nightmare to guard.
