All I know is that when you're 30 years old it only takes you about a month or maybe two to get into incredible shape. We have now played what 9 games? It's now been 6 weeks into the NBA season. Francis is in shape and ready to go.
Ding ding ding! Winner! Of the stupid contest. Do you take the Bible literally as well? [flamed for dissing my moniker]
I actually agree with the majority of your post. However, I think we should give those currently in the lineup more time. If Francis were going to get it for us, then Adelman would play him. I didn't want James or Francis either and would have preferred a Steve Blake like player as well. Alston is a great ball handler. It's just too bad he can't seem to make a shot...
We should pick up Chris Webber out of free agency and Francis should be our starting PG. This would be our rotation: Steve Francis Tracy McGrady Shane Battier Chris Webber Yao Ming Rafer Alston Mike James Bonzi Wells Luis Scola/Chuck Hayes Dikembe Mutombo Reserves/Inactive: Brooks, Snyder, Landry
If the Rockets brass was actually interested in Webber, and he was available, they should move Head for a trade exception. In my sincere opinion, we should have traded Head while he was overvalued at the end of last season. His one-dimensional game actually looked serviceable under JVG. The reality is that few coaches implement such a stagnant, half-court offense in the day and age. Head will struggle for the next few seasons before he ends up riding the pine or playing in Europe. We have a good team but still need more big bodies. A cheap, serviceable player like Webber, who played under Adelman, can help this team get over the learning curve. Oh yea, Steve should be our starting PG (thread topic).
You really don't believe in defense, do you? Let me see, no one wants Webber, so we pick him up... Stop living 5 years ago.
jesus christ... i hope to god you know nothing of nonlinear statistical analysis to make such a pathetic argument. let me tell you about the real world, in the real world vspan is now living in greece. in the real world, francis is forever sitting on the bench. in the real world, rafer alston is starting a point and getting more and more minutes. which world are you living in?
