To me, I feel that Scola was deferring to too many people when tmac is on the court and he gets tense and not doing the things that he is used to doing. In today's game, we pretty much see what scola's capable of doing when he's got the green light. way to go my argentine boy!!!!! I just wish rick would stop being stubborn and let steve francis show what he can do.
Me either, Suck big time where Yao had 9 TOs and Manu had 7 TOs. Its a killing game to my fantansy team
Congratulation!! It was well worth the wait. Hopefully he'll keep it up and continue to flourish. Way to go!
This is the silver lining to tonight's loss. Luis has just proven to his coach, his teamates, the league, and most importantly, himself that he can thrive in the NBA. His confidence should grow from here. DD
I agree for once on something DD thinks, hopefully RA runs plays like he did tonight for Scola when T-Mac comes back, we need to get others involved and not have 3 guys standing around twiddling there thumbs on offense waiting for T-Mac and Yao to put on a show.
Yeah, seeing Scola pop to the top of the key to clear out the lane will only open things up. His man chooses to help with T-Mac and gives up the open J for Scola or he stays with Scola making T-Mac's job easier.
Scola is his own worst enemy. If he stays out of foul trouble this is what we are capable of having night in and out to compliment Mac and Yao. I saw great confidence in his shots, also was good to see the emotion after he tied the game up late in 4th. Scola...please dont foul so much any more.
Exactly, not only does scola need the green light, but brooks and steve francis need to also, sucks that we got so much talent that is stunted by this situation at the moment. Adelman will have to think about people with potential over constantly theoretically thinking of chemistry at times, you got to have both.
Today Scola played a great game. I always knew he had it in him to play that type of performance. You can tell in his previous games, he was deferring a lot to his teammates because he knows he is a rookie. I am glad he is more confident now and hope to see more performances like this. Keep on working on that jump shoot (defense will give you that all night).
This game should give Scola a lot of confidence. His Teammates will have more confidence in him as well.. things going in tha right direction!
If Scola keep playing like tonight, if we have a good penentrator on the court with Yao and Scola, nobody can front or double team Yao anymore!!!
"He's a hell of a player, but we already knew that. That's nothing new," Popovich said. "It kills me to have him on that team. Just enough to make you spit." LINK We need to get Scola more involved even when Mac is back.
I'm waiting for apollo show up and say something. He will explain Scola's game. IMO, Scola is a scorer for real. He needs the ball in hand to attack
This is a big silver lining... not that one is really needed when you take the defending champs down to the wire with TMac absent.
Yeah. Too oft have I seen his teammate pass on him when he's open. He fouls like crazy like any other rookie - that doesn't mean he's not baller.
If he made those midrange j's during the Lakers game, we could have jumped out to an early lead, giving us a better chance of winning the game. I hope he starts hitting that shot consistently soon. Honestly, if we had Juwan instead of him during the Lakers game, the outcome could have been better. I'm really really hoping that this was his breakthrough game. Please Scola! BTW, that move where he caught the ball, spun back and laid the ball in was spectacular. Hope to see him finish with that kind of aggressiveness more often.
