Another good question Mango! The answer: NO!!! I hate pop-ups and advertising in all, I think they take away from a site if you ask me but the answer is no I plan no advertising. So what do you suggest, unless you have any more questions.
Can Frontpage be used to make "regular" 'ol HTML sites, or does it still use proprietary tags so that you have to use Frontpage servers to host the site? I too am thinking about building a site (to sell my house), and I haven't done anything but dabble in html.
Front page extensions needs to be install in order for the pages to work correctly. My biggest beef with frontpage, is that you cant FTP and use frontpage concurrently. When you FTP, it breaks some permissions and ownership rights that frontpage extensions needs. So you have to use webfolders. I know this only happens with websites using frontpage and on a linux server, don’t know if this problem occurs on a windows box. However on the filp slide, if youre new to html, frontpage’s learning curve is less than dreamweaver. You might want to start using frontpage first, and then when you get comfortable with managing and creating pages, then use a more robust program. Or as someone mentioned just be brave and do everything via notepad.
That it doesn't have any extra processing needs to do on the server. Just straightforward throwing the pages at them. Mango
