    I don't understand!
You want a "TRUE" point guard who can gives you 10ppg, 10apg or an "All STAR" point guard who can gives you 21ppg, 8rpg, and 6apg? do you want a tiny lineup of Tinsley, Francis, Torres, and Thomas?

C'Mon I'm all for trading Mobley, but definily not for Tinsley. Mobley is better and has more trade value than Tinsley. If you want a "TRUE" point gurad so bad wait for Blaylock to become FA this summer or trade Mooch for M. Jackson/A. Johnson to backup Steve. we trade Mobley only if we can get a big name front court player in return. If the trade can improve the team and make us a title contender I think Steve will be fine with that. I don't believe those "trade the Cat and you lose Steve" do you think Steve cares more about winning a title or he'd rather play w/ his friends and lose. I think Steve is smart enought to understand this business.

I don't want anything to do with trading Cat unless we have Steve locked up. Also it seems pretty clear that Steve wants to be a PG, and I'd hate to go piss him off and force him to be a SG and see him go off to a team that would let him be a PG.

I'd actually prefer dealing Steve instead of Cat because we could get more value for Steve and may be able to include a piece of crap (Rice, Mooch, etc) with him...

OK...this is handsdown the dumbest thing written this season, aside from ZRB looking for a new team to root for. lol. No wonder there is so much Mobley-hating when people can convince themselves of this crap.

I don't think Mobley is a problem, I just think that the Rockets need to learn how to share the ball.

We got the lead last night when we started running the break, and getting early offense.

I wish the Rockets would look at how the Mavs or Nets run the ball up EVERY possesion.

Even if you don't get an easy early look, you have more time on the shot clock to run your offense.

Geez fellas, the problem is NOT our guard play. Francis and Mobley ARE OUR team right now, and sometimes they have to take bad shots because there is no other creator or highcaliber low block player on the whole darned team. The problem with our team is that our frontline is probably the worst in the league ON BOTH SIDES of the ball.

So if you are going to make wild trade rumers with Mobley, at least lay it out there for a C/PF who could really help--someone like McDyess (say throw in the next year's #1 too) OR a guy like Ratliff, Laffrenz, Kenyon or J. Oneal (plus possibly more than Mobley for some of these guys, but not as far as including next year's #1).

I personally don't see a problem if we get another future power forward even with Griffin or Mo. The TWoves show you if you have some versitality in one of more of your PFs you can have them man both forward positions, might even make your defense better.

Are you talking fantasy basketball or NBA?

I'd most likely take Tinsley for Mobley in a fantasy league, but for the Rockets? No way.

    Great post, Desert Scar.

Having an abundance of PFs has worked for Portland and Indiana so far. Definitely helps you control the boards, which can help initiate the fast break.

I would trade Mobley and K9 + draft pick for Baron Davis he can play 1, 2 positions and he would complete Francis game, we don't need another good pg we need a good passing sg (B.Davis or Terry) .

    Imagine This Lineup

    Ming Or A.Stoudmire
    Griffin
    Torres
    B.Davis
    Francis

Cap-wise Mobley is by far the best setup for the team. He's locked up for several years for what I would consider below market value. I think the only you even consider trading him is in order to balance an overpriced player like Cato in a trade where you'd recieve back at least equal value.

(BTW, if you think the Hornets would trade Davis, I'd say pass the crack pipe.)
