Have you ever played any organized basketball? Your statement doesn't make any sense for anyone who has played the game. Everyone knows that FT has nothing to do with your stamina, especially at pro-level, it's entirely about consistent form and concentration.

I am still shocked by Yao's last FT making! Why do you people keep mention his miss FTs? What do you guys try to say? Yao was scared and gave up? I don't think so. Yao's last FT making showed his ability, courage, determination, and imagination!

his last ft was taken b/c he has to do that. that didn't show ability/courage/determination/imagination. cmon now, we see players do this all the time. didn't kobe miss his ft in the first game and got it right back but rafer stripped it b4 he shot?

    let's not get carried away.

yao just missed fts. i don't blame him. he had a stretch of 30 in a row so he was due for some misses. he'll be back making 30 straight again soon. the % play out and he'll avg 85-88% ft shooting, which is tremendous.

You see players do that all the time? That is interesting! Phil Jackson also said he never saw something like it before!

BTW, Kobe didn't do the way Yao did!

BTW, doublehh03, I guess you are not ready yet to accept the fact that Yao can do great things!

    The conversation is over!

Tonight must be greatest night of you so far this season. After having to practically shut your mouth and hide in your hole during the stretch when we were winning and Yao was doing great, your moment finally came tonight. Once again, you could sneak out of your hole to trash the player that you hate. I can imagine how ecstatic you were when your found out Yao didn't play well and the Rockets lost tonight. That was the moment that you had been hoping and waiting for. Enjoy your celebration now while you can, because you will have to crawl back to hide in your hole after Yao is back to his form and we start winning again.

Seriously, this board needs to ban Tmac haters and Yao haters. Cause those haters obviously aren't Rockets fans since both Tmac and Yao play for the ROCKETS.

Looks like Tmac will be back soon but the next few games shouldn't be used against Yao. It's hard enough to win against Spurs, Mavs, and Suns with all of our players healthy.

Did you see what he did in that last free throw 1.4 seconds before end that he intentionally missed?

    http://s.sohu.com/20071115/n253272231.shtml

I agreed he has to do it. But it's not like what others did. In all other instances, the gap was usually 1 to 2 points but this time it was 3 points apart.

If he got the rebound and scored the Rockets would have still lost the game.

So he had to aim the ball at the rim, make sure the ball bounce back to him, know where his team mates are beyond the arc, pass the ball to his team mate hoping his team mate can make the 3-pointer to tie the game to force it into overtime. All the above had to happen in flash of nano-seconds.

So you could not see and value the ability/court vision/courage/determination/imagination/passion/never-give-up spirit on Yao Ming's part of trying that last ditch effort to try to win for the team ??

100% agree with you! Even if we can win one among next three games, that will be surprising! Go,Rox,as possible as they can!

Yao can score more when Tmac is not in the count but would never lead the team to a win. he would probably come back to soft ball before Tmac returns. But if sf3 come in the picture I believe Yao+sf3+bonzi is a better combination than Yao + sf3 +mobley。

I think T-Mac missing a few games could be good for this team in the long run. So far this season, McGrady's been carrying the team too much offensively, and even Adelman's been saying that there's too much standing around by other players. With McGrady out for a few (hopefully not too many), it will be a good time for others to try to step up and get their games going.

We may lose the next few games but it may be a blessing in disguise. Half full, guys. :)

i just said he shoots ft around 85-88%, which is tremendous for ANY player, let a lone a big man. i don't blame him for missing fts. dude just made 30 in a row.

steve nash has games where he misses 3-4 fts too dude here and there.

and please, don't suck on someone's jock too much, it'll choke ya.

i saw kobe's missed ft effort in the irst game the same.

a lot of players will try to do that in that type of situation. and u need a lot of luck for the ball to bounce your way and things like that.

it's not like the player who shot it never got the ball back b4. kobe got it right to his hand in the first game and tried to shoot it to tie up the game.

so it happens a lot in those type of situations where a team has to miss purposefully and get the ball back (my kobe situation for example).

yao is a SMART and INTELLIGENT player. he knew what to do in that situation. but "imagining? courage? determination? " dude, it's a SMART BASKETBALL PLAY. the ball falls right back to him. he didn't nobody for it.

it was a smart baskteball play. and it's no coincidence yao is a smart basketball player. smart people do smart things.

this is a great opportunity for growth of everyone on the team. like tmac said, his players will be ready.

so i'm not worried. we fought hard last night. just didn't make fts and depended on the 3 too damn much there. but they fought hard.

i thought i would only see that under a JVG's team, but adelman had them fighting.

i want to see improvement from all the role players and yao continuing to learn the offense. that's all.

i kind of agree with this post. sometimes losing is not a bad thing. it could dig out something from nowhere.

does this make you rethink about keeping mcgrady, instead of making a push for kobe if we had the chance?
