believe me,Yao is absolutely exhausted, which influence his FT...if not back to back,we should not so suck...but to my curious,is Adelman stubborm like Jeff? maybe more?? even if all PGs are exhausted and can't get even one shot, why Steve hasn't chance? without Tmac,Rox is 100% like a team in lottery zone!

Because analysing the reason we loss gives us the opportunity to discuss ways to FIX the reasons why we lose. We have all the tools (maybe not at PG and PF) now please be patient while the chemicals are still reacting. Rome wasn't built in a day, Championship teams aren't made in 1 month of the introduction of a new coach and system.

yao was marvelous v. the spurs on a b2b. let's not blame EVERYTHING on fatigue here.

u do know even the greatest shooters miss open shots here and there. it's a bad game. let it go. we tried hard so we can be proud of that.

Shane needs to take more blame today.

His supposed to knock down open 3pointers.

He allowed himself to get into foul trouble, who did he think was going to defend Kobe?

But it's okay, we have a scapegoat named Rafer.

That said, I am big Battier fan (Because I'm the same type of player in real life) and I understand when players have shooting slumps and try to learn new offensive systems, it's very difficult.

With Horry in our team, we would've ended up leading 10 pts at that time.

Steve Francis has to replace Alston now!!! We get better shooting and just as solid playmaking skills. Luther Head should get some shots not Alston.
We move Novak to development league but really that could be the missing piece from the perimeter eg matt bullard shooting.
Scola needs more minutes and Snyder can play a role, but we are overusing ALSTON for sure and we must go with Francis now.
We can't fall 8 or 9 games behind in the standings we must act now otherwise it will be too late and yet again no home court during the playoffs let alone an injury free McGrady.
GET A DECENT 3 POINT SHOOTER and we are back in business.
    Must relook at Novak!!!

Yep, the problem is I don't see many ways to fix anything with the roster we have. You can shake the starting 5 but you will always need PG, PF and a third scorer.

Rafer is the tumor of this Rocket team!! In this first two games this season, he was the only one who couldn't score. Then James, then Battier, then Bonzi's layups, then Yao's FTs. But he is still play more than 30 min a game and bricking F***ing 3s.

Rome wasn't built in a day and neither was this team. They just decided that the architect wasn't very good until Rome was almost built and brought in a new one. Unfortuneately, we don't have another three seasons to see if this will work, it needs to work this season. T-Mac and Yao aren't getting younger.

im giving kirk snyder a lotta props before going into halftime, but seriously,

    does adelman HATE the franchise???

might as well called up the d league and asked them to play for us...

    wut is up with skip??

yao got the rebound like 6 times, and no one shot

that's awesome how we got a deeper bench and new coach, but the problem we had last year was giving t mac some perimeter support

    THEY STUCK WITH RAFER!!!

the only thing close to help from the perimeter is mike james, and i think he did a heck of a job coming in: great we play SA, PHX, MIA, DAL...

I'm NOT expecting T MAC TO PLAY

Bonzi is doing good, only b/c he's working under the old coach's system, but to tell yall the truth, his points didn't matter,

shane hit the clutch, mike james came up big

oh well...and why is luther so quiet??? You think he'd do something

Rafer??.....is he the answer for our perimeter problems...

I don't think Adelman knows about the problems we had last year

Our perimeter answer to help T-Mac:

    Mike James so far...

who knows how steve will do, IF WE DON"T EVER PUT HIM IN!!!

    and kirk snyder????

props for the points, not for the rotation

    PERIMETER HELP!!

Bonzi missed both free throws, he made all of em against charlotte and memphis, but missed the two crucial ones today..

    yao is smart

    don't expect t mac

    work solely on the perimeter

    PLAYERS WHO DID EXCEPTIONALLY WELL:
Yao Ming (smart player, racked up rebounds, keep it up, and prepare to explode when T-Mac's not playing)
Shane Battier (got his 3's, tied the game)
    Chuck Hayes (???)
Mike James (got his 3's, should've taken the last shot)
Kirk Snyder (came up spontaneously before the half, but got pts)
    Luis Scola (quiet, got shots)

    PLAYERS WHO NEED WORK:
Bonzi Wells (unecessary pointage??, essential in coming back, but where is the d??)
Rafer Alston (the most inconsistent player I've ever seen)
Luther Head (where are you dude?? so much for leading in 3 pt % last year!!)
Tracy McGrady (back to pain, he should be called T-Pain)

oh well, im pissed, hurt (that was the worst type of loss i've ever seen)

we're going to drop dramatically in every ranking

and the future doesn't look good...

I think Mike James is just as bad as Rafer or even worse. The guy is 2/10 with 0 assist, 0 block, 0 steals and 3 turnovers with 4 fouls in 20 minutes. If Alderman think Francis doesn't fit with his system, then what about James? He dribble and dribble and I don't think he pass that much for a point guard.
I do not understand the coach's decision as far as who is playing. He finally play Snyder and the guy responds with 2 -2 shooting and 5 points in 5 minutes. Then Scola finally had a decent game and then got bench for the rest of the half. The guys who had sign of being hot tonight and then you don't see him again in the game. He keep playing guy that put up brick after brick instead of going with a guy that showed sign of being hot tonight. You need 3 point at the end of the games and your 3 point shooters (head and james) are sitting on the bench. Hopefully he can find the right combo and hopefully Morey will have a meeting with him regarding the point guard situation.

So let's trade away everything besides T-Mac and Yao. And whenever a role player goes through a shooting slump, we trade him again until we find one that doesn't have any slumps and will always keep you happy.

    This isnt NBA Live mate.

Yes I agree their could be a mutiny on here soon if francis doesn't get on the court. The coaching staff can swallow their pride now its getting old with the "i told you so" routine. Play the guy now stop it with this benching garbage. He (francis) at worst equals Rafer Alston on a bad day!!!
Make the changes, its the smart thing to do. I can't believe poor novak can't get 8 or 9 minutes a game off the bench like a radmanovic. You have to have room in your minutes for a guy like novak to spark the team from the perimeter otherwise we keep getting back to our inconsistent shooters of alston, james etc. We can't get into the scenario all the time of relying on them from the outside as they can't be consistent. They need perimeter help in the West otherwise how do we match dallas, denver in the western conference. Must have scoring punch off the bench otherwise if our stars have an average game we can't keep up offensively.
I see the standings blowing out if we don't act now in this important stretch of games probably without our leading player and scorer.
Alarm bells are ringing!!! What are we going to do about it?

I dont blame Bonzi and Shane for their lost shoot with 44s left of the game.
But I will blame Rafer for his two 3 shoot(including YAO clever on purpose miss the second free throw with 1.5s left and got the rebound and pass to him for a 3 )because he is so open, nobody defend him and give him the pressure.I would bet if steve take his two 3 shoot,he at least will take one,in case that we will have a OT.

    "we want steve"

We have two class I penetrators, whose names are T-Mac and Steve. And Steve is also a really good FT shooter. If we can get both of them on the court, Yao will get a lot easy baskets and nobody dares to front him.
