I dont know what improvment u see in Luther this year??? He looks the same infact he looks worse. I just dont see what role he plays?? Even as a SG he barely shoots. PG, forget it he has no court vision. I really thing Francis should take Heads minutes, atleast he can penetrate n finish.

A answer is NO, Luther is even worser than Rafer.

Finally someone mentions this. He can't bring the court even if a decent defender pressures him much less him getting trapped by a few guys. No way on earth he can play point full time against the decent defenders or good teams that will trap the heck out of us.

No no no. You cannot be worse than Rafer I think. Luther at least would make more 3s.

Luther has only made an overall total of 3 turnovers over 8 games.

Talking about the PG duties, I think that Rafer is better than Luther due to the better ball control ability, but as a player, Luther is better than Rafer who is making $6M, and Luther is making around $2M although both are not good.

yeah, driving and losing it out of bound, dribbling it off of his foot, throwing a pass to the 10th row, or stumbling to the ground and getting called for travelling..

Luther absolutely stinks.. he has a good shot, that's it, and he isn't even shooting that much anymore.. he wants to "expand" his game, which he canNOT do because he has nothing but his shot. he should stick to his strength or get glued to the bench..

boy, is it painful to watch that guy dribbling between his legs repetitively with 5 ticks on the clock then passing it to an under-pressure Alston at the top of the key to do something with it..

which is why people need to stop freaking out about the poor shooting thus far. Is luther a bad shooter? no. Is battier? no. Its just been a bad start for these guys. let alone the piling onto rafer for his poor shooting, like he is the only one.

It is when he's being criticized for it.

Exactly, we don't have a point guard who can do that, so why ask our ninth man to do it.

So if he isn't playing much and not turning the ball over, then what are you guys complaining about. I mean, .38 turnovers per game, thats a non factor.

So your saying he is doing all that this season? Well, how can you lose the ball out of bound, off your foot, pass to the 10th row, and travel, while having only 3 turnovers.

And that in bold never happened. Find me a clip of that this season.

Sorry, had a biz meeting, I would probably go with starting James first, and maybe having Rafer back him up.

The problem with that is I like James energy off the bench, so not sure that is the best option.

So, if we like having James off the bench, then I would consider Francis at the point, backed up by James.

Then, I would work Brooks in over Luther as the year goes by.

Truthfully, I would try to trade Rafer, James, Snyder, Novak for Bibby...

    :D

You know we might be giving up too much for that. Lol. Bibby is struggling the past couple of seasons.

Non-factor. That's a perfect description of Luther this season. Very cautious. Doesn't do much wrong because he doesn't do much of anything. Players like that should not be in our rotation. Time for AB or SF (if his head is on straight) to get those 10 mins.

Luther is far from playing cautiously, he's been much more active then last season. The only reason you could use to justify that he's a Non-factor is his playing time. If you give SF those minutes he would play even worse. He would stand around for 9 of those 10 minutes. AB, I would like to see, however.
