The entire team crew except yao, tmac, are disappointed.
battier, bonzi sometimes spark. all the others are pointless.
Even worse, Steve wont come back before another 40 games I promise.

the coaches (you know, the people who actually make the decisions) see steve on the court, in practice and in workouts everyday and in their judgment, he doesnt belong in the rotation. sorry if thats not good enough for you steve-boy, but ill trust their judgment over yours 8 days a week.

he got his shot and blew it.

we are 6-1 right now. stop whining about your precious not getting to play. i dont care if steve-o doesnt see the court all year as long as we are winning. that apparently is the difference b/t us - i like my rockets more than any one player.

you are making quite a few assumptions - that the coaches dont know what they are doing - that steve-o hasnt gotten a fair chance - that steve-o can do better than the others infront of him.

RA should let Steve play at least 10-15 games.........
Fans from China are talking about voting for Steve to play all star game. Maybe it is the only way to get him off the bench.

Both Alston and James played poorly. It will be smart to bring Francis in to bring competition in the PG position. Players played poorly should get less minutes.

Steve did not accompany the team last game. Trade talks are looming. He has had some heated conversations with Adelman about his spot. Rafer will soon be benched according to sources inside the organization.

According to Jonathon Feigan at the Chron he flew with the team to the Charlotte game.. then had to leave for a family reason. Also posted today, Steve is back with the team in Memphis.

I can find the links if you don't want to go through all the posts, but those two points are both in the Bobcat/Rockets game blog.

Steve's not in much of a place to be making demands on this team. He wasn't signed for much. Hopefully he contributes here because there is a very good chance someone will get hurt.

They already did this. Adelman will play Steve when he is ready. Steve was not ready in the preseason.

Steve had one game with substantial minutes; and 13pts 5rebs and 5ass don't seem so bad.

I'm starting to believe that all the people that keeping stating ("if you seen a Steve Francis game last year with the Knicks you would know that he's washed up") didn't see a game themselves. Well I've seen all of them; I didn't miss one. Well he's far from washed up. We can debate this all day and I'll try to keep this short. Francis was the odd man out; The two starters previous were Jamal and Stephon. Jamal was Isiah first free agent major signing as GM and Stephon on most accounts was the face of the Knicks. Francis came in against The owner and GM best ideas, but the coach ( Brown ) wanted him to eventually replace Stephon. Steph and Franchise bonded so it backfired. Francis came in deferring to much to Steph, so that didn't work ( both starters ) in the first eleven games; so they switched Jamal and Franchise role ( sixth man and Starter ) Jamal shooting avg. though dipped in the 20 percentile range, while Francis thrived and avg. 19pts a game. Then Isiah started playing Francis 15 minutes a game just to bring Jamal off the bench and play 40 or so minutes, just because Jamal was doing better coming off the bench. Francis became more and more Frustrtated, so he took a long leave of absence from the team that didn't want him there anyway because even Steph start taking cheap shots at Francis through the media (after the year prior Francis stood by him against Brown). The buyout never happened that both sides were aiming for, Francis came back and avg 26 pts 5rebs, and 5ass thet final 4 games as a starter ( give or take a point here or there ). BTW the last few games he was the fastest most athlectic player from either side. By this time Jamal was injured, this was the only time Francis was allowed to play without Isiah pulling him out to favor another player. For those that state that they seen Francis play in NY, did they not see his last forur games?

I was thinking when I looked at our roster. Before Francis came there were like 7 guards on our team. T-Mac, James, Alston, Brooks, Wells, Head and Snyder. Francis kept talking about bet fit and gave up more money to play for the Clippers to come to the Rockets. I dunno but if I"m a point guard, ya look at our roster and you've got to think how am I gonna get any minutes with this team. I think most point guards if they value playing so much would have skipped over Houston and played for the team that was lacking in point guard depth. Don't look now but the Clippers are 4-2 one game behind Phoenix. Maybe Stevie could have helped them out more.

Look at our roster. 8 Guards for crying out loud. That's bordering on ridiculous. How many point guards does a team need? That leaves 7 positions to fill the roster at the forward positions and center. I've always said, we can use more front court help.

Frankly, I think Steve from a personal standpoint made a bad decision if he wanted to play. San Diego would have been much better for his career.
