Coach A free Yao from physical work, that's a big reason. You know, Yao always work hard in the past seasons but no evidently improvement.
only married men get that joke, because if your not married you're under the impression that the opposite occurs
others can fight through it like a lot of perimeter players. yao just falls off when he's fatigued. i think u know that. he breathes hard, his face is down... we saw a lot of those early in his career.
I just don't get it when all these whiners bashing around in the game against the Bobcats in the 1st quarter, those YOHs just couldn't help presenting their excitment when YAO is not having a good performance. See how ridiculous these are: 1.Yao will only get 10pts this game. 2.Yao wastes the efforts his teamates are making for him. 3.Yao is the slowest/not quick so he looks terrible against those fast teams like Bobcats. 4.Yao just cann't beat the double team blablabla...... But wait a minute, who saved our ass to win this game scoring 34 pts and took that clutch offensive rebound Am I mistaken? Those f@ckarounders just can't give a break
yeah,i did take classes in the morning, when i came back to dormitory and opened my computer,i cant't believe what i see, yao's so playing so good .i hope he keeps the good stituation
What's up with him winning most (all?) of his jump-balls this season?... He used to lose out to 6-7 guys, but now he's even dominating in the jumpball circle... Pretty soon he'll have a Sikma perm...
the point is, it's great that Yao has the stamina to play large amounts of minutes. However, we need to be able to limit his minutes and still win if we want a fresh, rested Yao in the playoffs. Right now, since our offense is not really clicking, Yao is being over-used to get us the wins.
RA's system may be the biggest reason for Yao getting off to such a quick start but I don't think Yao being healthy this past summer can be discounted as another big factor. Sure he may still have a bum shoulder and elbow, but it will not keep him off his feet, it will not keep him from working on conditioning, working on his game in vigorous way - at least not in the same way a broken limb can. And I don't see how that seriously f.u. crap Yao had on his foot the first half of the 05-06 season that later required surgery could not have affected the poor guy's play early in the season. And the broken foot (or was it ankle?) at the end of the 05-06 season had to have affected his workout regimen in the off-season. After the end of this past season, didn't he start working on his game with Dawson or whoever, pretty soon after it ended? I would think this sort of thing got him primed and ready for the new season as opposed having to waste time on rehabilitating, regaining mobility, quickness, etc. Then lets not for get the broken leg last year - not that it carried over into this season but all this crap Yao's had to deal with has seriously interrupted the guys progression, his momentum these past two years. I remember thinking, I guess a lot us were thinking this, right before he broke the foot at the end of 05-06 and before he broke the leg last season, that the light bulb had finally gone off, that he was taking the next leap forward - only to see it come crashing down. Now it's been several months where he's not had to take a serious step back, where he's been able to continue his progression - and we are seeing some of the benefits.
You must be new here. These fools can be found in the forum here too. There are certain haters who hope for Yao to have poor game (even better if the team loses too) so they can sneak out of their closets to do their b****ing and bashing. The beauty of the internet is that morons can hide behind their computer to b**** about anything they want anyway.
The truth taste good on a belly full of lies...and JVG was feeding Yao some BS, Adelman knows how to keep the bigs fresh.
We won, but I would like to see a game where he is on as he was today and he gets over 20 shots. It's water under the bridge, because Tracy stepped up and played his butt off. I just would like for Yao to just score 50 one day. I still think he doesn't know how good he is and how many touches he should get. That is my only frustration with the game today. As far as him scoring 50, I just want him to dominate to his full ability. It's not really a fixation with scoring. Just him demanding the ball. I fear that only when Tracy is in,do we have a creative way of getting the ball to Yao. Those pick and rolls worked to perfection tho.
I was watching some NBA highlights and this one caught my attention. <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/74Wn-RjtuBE&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/74Wn-RjtuBE&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object> It was a great dunk by Deng but WTF was wrong with JVG!!!! I've always supported VG but I can't believe Yao had to put up with all his bullsh*t defensive schemes (it was supposedly "great" but it sure didn't get us past the first round). Basically Yao was guarding the PG, his man, and patroling the paint to protect against anyone who attacked the rim.
I reckon the reason is simple - he is finally blossoming into the player we all dreamed he'd become. He has just progressed, in terms of strength, dexterity, stamina, confidence, everything. You just have to watch him - he's quicker yet stronger, his hooks and turnaround j's looks way more fluid (I think), and he has the confidence to be clutch, and the skills to back up that confidence.
it's all about the system. he doesn't have to bang so much down there. I'm sure he is also in better shape though
