I'm not a hater at all. You have to admit VY is a very inaccurate passer and he makes a lot of bad decisions. I don't see any improvement at all compared to last year. I think being named Offensive ROY and getting (by fluke) to the Pro Bowl may have r****ded his development. He thinks too highly of himself. Hopefully he dedicates more time to football this next offseason and comes back better.
so you don't the running game isn't a factor? the titans are a running team.. yes a running team WITH VINCE YOUNG. if the running game breaks down, then they're out of their element. I'm not obsessed like you think I am, I just am here to trash talk with the haters. he played bad. what do you want me to do? stop rooting for him and root for the texans? nope. i'll still for root for him, goat or hero.
But why didn't he just open up running lanes like he did in week 1? Why didn't he just INSPIRE LenWhale to play better? Of course you'll root for him. Your entire sense of self-worth is tied to the inevitable subpar performance of a third-rate QB that will never date you. Maybe if you swing from his jock a little faster, he'll love you. Vince Young just rides the coattails of his defense.
wrong. my entire sense of self-worth is tied to CLUTCH CITY and the heroes like Maxwell and Dream. The most important team in the existence of history. I support Vince Young cause he's a Rockets fan. maybe one day you'll know what it is be a TRUE Rockets fan. nice try aggie!
True dat. He was amazing in college. But this is the pros...and he sure doesn't look like one. At least not yet. Didn't Young have a 45yrd passing game and his defense still won the game?
I think the kind of loyalty you are showing is a sign of good character. Vince Young may be closer to Akili Smith than Steve Young but the cult will live on thanks to fans like you! Seriously, though, like the Cowboys, Vince Young has been ruined for me by his fans. Tom Brady couldn't live up to this kind of hype.
i'm sorry your university never won a national championship. i'm sorry about Fran or Andre Ware or Mike Leach. seriously, i'm not the biggest VY fan here. I'm just the best poster. but the VY haters are actually making him more popular here cause they love to talk about him. The Cowboy fans. I don't like them cause they are from Dallas, but some people are just jealous cause they keep winning. the Titans never got this much hate when McNair/George were playing. I wonder why? hmm
I'm a UT alum and was there the same four years as VY. Hell, I even tossed the football with a him a few times outside of Jester the year he redshirted. He'd stop by my dorm room every once in a while just to say what's up when he'd hear my roommate jamming Houston rap (we lived on the first floor by the back entrance, so he passed pretty often). I love the guy. He did wonders at UT, but that doesn't mean he's a good NFL QB. He's actually been pretty awful this season.
That's great....good thing for you, you're a Texans fan, so that chance at being completely winless is a realistic goal each year. Vince Young has had a pretty crappy year so far, and of course, a lot of that falls on his own shoulders. All of it? No. But I'd agree that right now he has a long way to go before he's a great starter, much less a superstar in this league. He still makes some awful reads, decisions, and throws at times, and there's no defending that. However, I think one could also argue that the Titans have some of the worst WR's and TE's in the league. The great defense the Titans play at times gets wasted on an abortive offense. Once LenDale went down today, that certainly didn't help things, either. I'm hoping there is an offensive upgrade in the offseason. They really need some help at the skill positions, namely WR. And the loss of Travis Henry in the offseason really stung, too. I think last year, Vince could just rely on the relative talent around him to make comebacks, and then bust a long run here or there. This year, there simply isn't the talent around him AND he's making some very poor choices trying to force things. I think we'll know more about whether he'll flame out or not in a year or two. Collins might be the better option right now, but if the team is so dedicated to the run, they probably want VY to stay in there for that reason.
it just means that it's ok to admit that he's not a very good QB in the NFL...even if you went to UT.
he's not playing well this year. i'm still rooting for him. what else do you want? you need milk for your frosted flakes? like i mentioned before, its funny how i get anointed the VY guy. but that's only because i'm a superstar poster here. some of you just get off wanting someone to fail. its pretty sad. Go Vince!
As much as I love Vince, I can't root for anyone who's paid by Bud Adams. But I certainly to root against him, just the team.
It's funny how mrdave543 criticizes Ottomaton's reading comprehension in the first sentence of his response and then fails to use proper grammar in the second sentence.
