Hey I know some of the conservative Houstonians really don't want to have an arena built because they are worried that this will all come from their pockets...well what will y'all do when a thousand Rocket fans find out that you are one of those people responsible for letting them go.... I'd be afraid really afraid!!!!!!

I'm a light sleeper and gun owner. I'm not worried.

No reason to worry about it now, the Rockets are gone when the contract expires in Nov 2002.

Its business, you offer to spent over 80 million and get it turned down because you don't live there. Stern says you have the leagues permission to move when the contract is up and why would you want to spent the money now?

Just a guess, Lauries become a minority owner and future owner, and the team moves to the kiel arena in St. Louis. He tried to buy the Nuggets and the Vancounver team and was hitting walls until he found a team with the permission to move already in place.

But this can be stopped if Houston wants to do for the Rockets what they have done for Baseball and Football. Les will stay if the city builds him a new arena and gives him a good lease. Does anyone think it will happen?

You guys already misunderstood who was in the position of power. Les can play the wounded hero out of town now w/o concern.

Add that to the wants of Stevie, the fact that the Eastern Conference is ripe for the pickin' for an upstart like the Rockets... and I think that I'll be clicking on Baltimore on my profile in http://www.dice.com
