Well....as happy we all were at the beginning of the season, raving on and on about how great we were, it damn near breaks my heart to see all of these negative posts. Believe it or not, the players read these threads...and Im sure it hurts them to see the opinions of their fans in Houston change as often as the weather does......I have watched the Rox since...well as long as I can remember...and I have never talked down on them ever.....I may see things they could change or work on, but I am not an expert and I dont claim to be.....all I know is that this is a great team with that relies on their great backcourt....just as LA relies on their superstars, Philly on AI, SA on Duncan.........everyteam has one thing to rely on. Granted they probably wouldnt all have sunk to an 11 game losing streak without them, but s(@t happens. Now more than ever our team needs our support and definitley does not need us to turn on them...any of them.....just pray that Stevie gets well and Mobley stays well.....we lost 11 in a row and we could easily....well mabye not easily....win 11 in a row.....its WAY TOO EARLY to start thinking about the lottery......so now Ive said my words....I want only the TRUE supporters of our Houston Rockets to post something POSITIVE on this thread about anyone or anything about our team............................AMEN
I've been pleasantly surprised w/ Tierre Brown's defensive effort. With a little more experience he can become our best defensive PG in a long while.
Just hearsay.......a friend of a friend of a friend whos friends with a friend of a friend.....u know.....i believe it...........................Hey didnt you read my message...that doesnt look like a positive post???????
I just called Ms. Cleo and she said the Rockets are sucking now but that's all for this season. They will win 25 in a row before losing to the Bulls. Seriously,
Yeah, I'm still a Rockets fan and a believer. What I wanna know is what are we gonna do when Mo Taylor comes back, 'cause KT's been a stud!
I still believe....errrrrr.....in the lottery Three Words: Yao Ming Shrimp...soon to be my favorite dish at PF Changs This is an injury disaster and we should accept it, move on and begin thinking about the future. We cannot expect this team to win consistently this year--if they do great, but let's lower our sights a bit. This is not to say that I am being disloyal or not a fan! I will continue to go to every game and cheer'em on, laugh at Clutch, critique the cheerleaders and stay until the end--hoping for a post-game floor interview by Gene! But, as a long-time season ticket holder, I have to begin channeling some positive energy. If we put together a 10-12 game winning streak when Stevie gets back, great....If not, I am at peace with our team's existence and I think we should let'em mess it up for other teams trying to make the playoffs and begin practicing for next year's run! David Stern, "With the second pick in the 2002 NBA Draft the Houston Rockets select Yao Ming from Shanghai Sports in China!"
Hey Guys, you wanna start a special thread thanking Kelvin Cato for everything he has done for the Rockets! Afterwards, Jeff or someone in Houston can print them up and deliver them to Westside. Won't Kelvin be so happy? [This is what the UT site did for Chris Simms]
i still love the rockets and hate the rest of the league!!! but that doesn't mean you have to throw objectivity to the wind...it doesn't mean you look at a blue sky and call it green. if a team is bad, they're bad. they won't be bad forever. it's sticking with them despite the fact they're bad (and not bandwagon jumping somewhere else) that makes a true fan...not living in some state of delusion that a team that clearly isn't very good is somehow better simply because you root for them.
It's only grim until Stevie comes back, but look on the bright side Torres is getting all this PT, and Torres is shining.
