You do realize that Aaron Brooks and Carl Landry are both getting zero minutes, right? Neither of them will be getting in the rotation soon. Why criticize JVG for letting two rookies rot on the bench when RA is doing the same thing? If we sent Brooks and Landry to the D-league would it be a good thing?

Lets send Rafer to the D-league to see if he can iron out his shooting....

You don't much understand a minor league, now, do ya? And no, Euroleague teams could not consistantly wipe the floor with NBDL teams, especially playing NBA RULES! The talent level between the NBADL and the Euroleague are not as great as you would pretend. And the Rockets will never have to buy out Novak to get him the Rio Grande Valley team like they did with Scola.

My point is that the NBA should develop the D-League to be more of a minor league system than it already is, with the whole roster belonging to the Rockets and not have our players tainted by the FIBA rules and referees.

I think so. Why not? You can call them up any time.

Ah, no previous mascots included Battier, Carl Herrera, Lew Lloyd, Rhodrick Rhodes, Carlos Rogers, Oscar Torres, & Kenny Thomas.

I am a style type of lover....but interesting that you would be the 2nd guy on this board (Sam Small minded Fisher the other) to infer racial bias on my part.

Which is clearly an indicator of your beliefs more than mine.....you just haven't been here long enough to know.

Maybe you should understand the topic and back it up with data rather than making ignorant hater-styled blanket statements......

Van Gundier losing points by the post......

Oh, and JVG still sucks, always has sucked, and will continue to suck !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Good move.

We should have sent him last year. He seems if anything to have regressed in the last year or so..

I agree why not send Landry and Brooks, too.

Adelman will at least use some things at his disposal like D-League, JVG would not.

    I agree.

You actually think that was a real game for Panathinaikos? My friend you have a lot to learn. There is not one single player from that list that was named that would sniff the starting lineup of CSKA Moscow or Panathinaikos.

    CSKA Moscow

    PG Holden
SG Papaloukas (he's the 6th man but the REAL starter like Manu with Spurs)
    SF Siskauskus
    PF Smodis
    C Vujicic

    Panathinaikos

    PG Diamantides
SG Spanoulis (he's the 6th man but again the REAL starter)
    SF Winston
    PF Batiste
    C Tomasevic or Tsartsaris

This is one of the reasons why European fans hate American fans so much. I've got news for you, Winston he's better than Azuibuke. Batistse is better than Hayes. Diamantidis is better than Alston. Vujicic is better than Johnson and etc. etc. etc.

If you actually think D-League is comparable to Euroleague champions stage you are saying every gm and scout is a wrong and you are right.

D-League is for MINOR league players that hope to make NBA. Euroleague is for real PRO players. And take a player like oh you named Mikki Moore. He's a role player in Euroleague.

Here think about it. Kennedy Winston is > Azuibuike. Winston is a ROLE PLAYER on Panathinaikos. My friend let's not get carried away here. Mike Harris does not belong in D-League where players SUCK. He belongs in Euroleague where there are some good players. Players like Papaloukas or Diamantidis make players you name look PATHETIC. D-League is other than SOME handful of players full of garbage.

Now take say Spanish league. You do realize you actually have to have some NBA caliber players to even compete in that domestic league right? It's well below Euroleague level. Stop me any time you get confused here. Novak is there to get PT. Not to "develop".

Steve Novak could be a role player on a good Euroleague team. He is well above D-League level. His upside may be Pat Garrity or Matt Bullard or something but that IS way above D-league level. However it is role player level at Euroleague champions stage.

Hell don't believe me? Guess what? Matt Bullard was a role player in A1 Ethniki the top Greek league. If the Rockets are going to keep getting foreign players Rockets fans need to get off their rears and learn something about basketball other than NBA. At least Spurs fans understand foreign basketball.

I criticized him for not using D-League. BTW, I am also totally against Adelman using Alston over Francis. RA > JVg but he's not even close to like a Popovich.

If Novak isn't good enough to excel at D-League, the Rockets can conclude he should be cut. I expect Landry and AB will go there later on.

Battier was not your Mascot, don't try to retroactively change your story.

It was Spanoulis all the time.

When he came out, I wanted the Rockets to draft him, big time. But, you wouldn't know that, because...well you weren't here.

And, if you go back and read the threads, I was one of the FEW who liked the Gay for Battier trade from the get go....

What you said was insulting, basically callilng someone a racist.

Shame on you...it was an incredibly rude thing to do.....especially without any of that so called DATA you covet.

    WEAK...very weak.

Lately It reads like you and Sam Fisher are the same poster, but it could be that you are both just jerks.

I don't have any links or data to back this up, but Matt was talking on the radio last week about playing for the Greek league. He said that he went from role player here to feature player there. According to him, most of the plays were drawn up for him and he was expected to shoot the ball all of the time.

Sure, he was a role player - his role was the gunner.

Do you actually beleive this? These are two NBA starters! They get paid millions to play basketball for a reason. NBA franchise owners don't waste their money on scrubs. If there were better players in Europe, you better beleive they'd be on the next flight out. Yes, there are a few exceptions for whatever reason, but they still don't hold a candle to guys like Rafer and Chuck.

Matt Bullard is full of it. There is a difference between mid level team low level team top level team. It doesn't work like the NBA. It is an entirely different world.

A low level Greek A1 team is complete trash. Absolutely garbage. A mid level team would get beat by 20-30 points in a serious championship game or serious Euroleague game.

Then a top team like Aris or Olympiacos is strong in Greece and competitive in Euroleague. Panathinaikos is dominant in Greece and Euroleague. Could probably go undefeated in both leagues without even much effort this year.

Matt Bullard is obviously using American's complete lack of knowledge on this subject to talk BS. Because he was never even good enough to even make Panathinaikos when he was there.

You know a player like John Lucas could probably average 30 points a game on a low level Greek team, 15 on a mid level and maybe 3-5 points on a team like Panathinaikos. It's about the level of the other players and the level of competition. It's like Matt Bullard claiming he starred on a mid-major therefore he's better than any SEC player.

In other words, complete BS coming from Air Bull. If he was so great how come he never finsihed top 5 in MVP in the league and Spanoulis has three top 3 finishes and a 2nd place finish?

I mean this is the same Spanoulis that flopped in the NBA and the same Spanoulis that played in the league when it is much stronger than when Bullard played there.

Rafer Alston and Chuck Hayes are absolute trash compared to these players. And I guess some people didn't know Panathinaikos was told to not try in the NBA games for fear players might get injured.

Look, I don't know why but for some reason fans of every other NBA team know and follow and accurately rate foreign players, but one team's fans the Rockets know nothing. For some reason we have the only fans that don't know a damn thing about basketball in general.

LOL! That's like saying you should go watch Rafer's AND1 highlights so you can see how he's the best PG ever to play the game! Please don't respond until you get a clue.
