Didnt see this posted, if it has then please lock.
Is the right move by Morey and the coaching staff. He isnt going to get better by riding pine all year again. Id look to send both Brooks and Landry there as well if we dont plan on playing them

The Vipers don't play their first game until the 20th.

Oh, like some guys in this forum, I like steve very much, especially his shooting skill. But there is not a position available for him now in this team. What a pity! But I think this move maybe fits for him. Good luck, Man!

It was posted 15 minutes ago by the great Carl Herrera:

    But I'll post here... :D

Great move. He has a nice touch w/ his shot, but he needs to work on his defense. Instead of riding the pine, he could actually get some playing time in the D-League and work on his game. They should do the same for Landry and Brooks since they're not going to be seeing the court anytime soon.

They're probably keeping those two with the Rockets until the NBDL games start up so they have more time to adjust to being in NBA.

Landry and Brooks are not even dressed to play. The only thing they are absorbing in the NBA is the practices w/ the team. Other than that, nothing. They could get a lot of playing time in the D-League to improve on their skill sets and could be great assets in the 2008-2009 season.

I think they want Novak to be the focus of the offense in the D-League. With Brooks and Landry down there, they wouldn't have as good an idea as to what Novak can do, since the other guys might take some of the spotlight.
