The Devil Rays changed their name to simply Rays...and changed their colors from green and black to dark blue/navy blue....the logo is like a sunburst or something. I like it, feels more like a baseball team now...though I don't care much for the sweep of the "R" in the name. http://tampabay.rays.mlb.com/index.jsp?c_id=tb
I think they should drop the "Bay" and just be the Tampa Rays instead of the Tampa Bay Rays. Besides, the name of the city is Tampa.
Why is almost every team now going for some sort of combination of blue and another GREENISH/BLUEISH color? ~~ ~~ ~~ ALMOST. That was the first thing I thought of... too many DARK BLUE teams out there.
Yeah looks like it...I think they want to essentially disassociate themselves with the past and move forward from here.
Don't forget: I think the Mariners are more green than anything...In fact I don't recall much blue in their unis at all...unless I'm mistaken. Plus they're unis have been around a lot longer than the Padres, Jazz, Nuggets, Blue Jays and whoever else that went to the blue scheme. It's not a bad color scheme...though I suppose it is a bit overused...at least none of these schemes are completely similar to one another...not like the freakin' Dbacks complete ripoff of the Astros colors.
Yep . Thats the first thing I thought upon seeing it . It looks like a A ball team's logo . It looks like it could be an orange juice logo for some reason too ?
The more I look at it, the more I'm thinkin that the logo would look better if the diamond was taken out...it's unnecessary.
