If only Azubuike were on the Rockets, he could take over the role that Snyder is currently playing.

He does not fit in this rockets team. No open lanes at all here.

Further tangible evidence that JVG's sinister ways ruined this team to the plight it is in now.

I think it boils down to philosophy, I would like to see the last 2 or 3 spots on the roster be young up and coming players rather than veterans.

I think some organizations would rather they be veterans for insurance purposes......I would rather have young potentials at that level.

And for those blaming JVG, I don't think it is his fault at all, I think the Rockets organization has been doing it this way for years.

Kelenna Azubuike looked mediocre at best in preseason last year. Didn't he shoot < 30%? I don't know if he's just improved that much or he fits better in Oakland, but no sane person would have predicted this performance based on that preseason.

we've already had a thread on this in the general nba discussion forum. It's not JVG's fault we had 18 guys at training camp last year and we had 10 guards under contract too. We kept him around, unlike Keith Langford, which shows he liked him.

I like Kelenna. He's a local product (from Tulsa, where I live) and I actually attended a basketball camp there at his alma mater high school. Too bad we had to waive him, he's a good athlete on par with Snyder, and in my opinion could have played a major role of the bench right now if had been kept.

And yes he would be, and is, better than Harris too.

We have plenty arsenal of shooting guards,we don't need KA.
I mean he's good, has shot but nothing special.
I like his desire,he made from NBDL to Warriors elite player.

I was hoping we could keep him last year in place of Bob Sura's contract. I liked his size and atleticism. My biggest question about him was his shot, which has improved. He was a good young player who thankfully now has a home in GS. Hopefully Mike Harris can follow in his footsteps and find a home somewhere in the NBA.

It goes to show that not only does JVG have little interest in developing new players he has NO EYE FOR TALENT, he is not worthy to be called a COACH :p

at the beginning of the season last year, after seeing Kirk Snyder play well, any fool wouldve picked him over Azuibuke who was a little-known rookie.

I saw Azubuike play last night and he's awesome-- incredibly quick to the basket and great leaping ability. Maybe it wasn't JVG's fault, but it sure does make it look like he doesn't know how to develop talent when Azubuike and Boki have thrived so much after getting away from him.

I think the Rockets are going to be kicking themselves again pretty soon if they don't find someway to move some players and re-sign Mike Harris.

Give JVG credit for Rod Strickland, Charles Oakley, Ryan Bowen, and Charlie Ward

I don't know which is more predictable. Young players with good upside that JVG thought were garbage turning out good with some different team, or JVG lovers defending him once the players start producing.

KA once he came up last yr with Bobcats started playing pretty well. Everyone knows JVG has no patience for young players. Go back to ny and it didn't change here. Head played because he can do one thing, shoot 3's, but the way bonzi is playing, head has no position. It seems like adelman always develop young swingmen. Hell, Joe Smith had his best yr of his career with adelman in gs. Peja,Hedo,Martin, guys like that strive under adelman. i dont think thats by mistake.

so impressive by KA last night with dallas. 27pt, 11reb, 4ast. Just wanna post my first thread about him, find this one.

Actually, not only KA, what about Nachbar?

JVG doesnt like, if not hate Nachbar when he was at Rocket. But now, we all can see his is actually a very good offensive player, avg 9.2pt this season, even more than Jason. triple three. Kidd. If both KA and Nachbar are still at Rocket, how deep will our bench be...
