LOL! I am sorry guys, but -- once again -- you're all PWNED by T_J...and it has nothing to do with the actual topic.
Who are you kidding, Hillary wouldn't commit to pull out of Iraq completely. (phased draw down?) Wait, didn't Bush say the same thing about drawing down troop levels?
He is definitely not the reason for the problem. But it is ironic that a few years ago his domestic policy theme was "the ownership society" backed primarily with statistics on homeownership. Like a lot of things in his presidency, that turned out to be an empty slogan that was useful for soundbites and nothing more, as the creditors moved in to foreclose on the ownership society.
I don't think I would play him in anything that depends on luck... I'm quite sure he's made a deal with Beelzebub. Anything else, though, especially something like Chess, I'd be more than happy to play. He has such an oversized ego, you could reliably predict that he'd go for the big play and sucker him into some good situations.
the problem is that the democratic party was put in power in 06 to end the iraq asap. that was the primary reason. the majority of the country wants to bring the troops home asap and the democratic frontrunners are not committed to it. http://www.pollingreport.com/iraq.htm "Do you think the U.S. should keep military troops in Iraq until the situation has stabilized, or do you think the U.S. should bring its troops home as soon as possible?" keep in iraq until stabilized - 42% bring home as soon as possible - 54% unsure - 4% oct 2007 i agree that since we are the ones who f-ed up their country so bad we have an obligation to stay until "the job is done", whatever that means. but aside from overwhelming opposition to our presence there by americans, the majority of iraqis want us out too. if we really invaded to "liberate" them, shouldnt we allow them the right decide whats best for themselves? furthermore, the majority of troops want to end it. nobody but cheerleader bush and president cheney want anything to do with this turd of a war anymore. the democratic frontrunners are going against the wishes of the majority of americans and no doubt, the vast majority of the people who put them in office. i wouldnt worry though - hillary will win and things will continue on as they have for the last 6 years. ron paul wants to bring them home asap and he is leading fundraiser among active duty military - that speaks volumes. it is what the majority of americans and iraqis want. how so, exactly? just curious. please dont buy into the tradertexx b.s. liberal/conservative argument. like most people, im liberal on some issues and conservative on others, but i dont like lumping myself or anyone else into such simplistic categories. these terms are rendered even more meaningless when someone like bush can still go around calling himself a conservative. its a joke - he is easily the most fiscally liberal president we have ever had. i dont even know what thats supposed to mean? i actually liked wellstone. i would support him over larouche.
read the tread posted by basso... are these countries planning to sell off their reserve of dollars bc a) our economy is so robust and bush's economic plans are working b) they dont like green colored currency c) trading in dollars isnt cool anymore d) theyre gonna go old school and start trading in gold and silver e) the sheit is about to hit the fan and theyre gonna get out while they still can
Um, where did I blame Bush? Greenspan could probably take some blame for the mortgage mess in this country. Oh, in closing, Bush sux.
Wow TJ calls someone else out of touch with reality. What color are the pots and kettles in your world?
I would destroy you in chess. I am an extremely skilled chess player. Chess is a game of intellect, cunning, and strategy. In those areas (and many others), I am your superior in every way.
Americans seem to vote for who agrees with them on hot button issues like gun rights and abortion which in the grand scheme of things are totally insignificant issues compared to the issue of how to get food on the table. This is why the Republicans can get poor people to vote for them. It makes absolutely no sense to me, but maybe these poor people who vote Republican like getting their jobs outsourced if they get their policy position on abortion passed.
But think of the children, they might one day have their gun taken away, meet a homosexual and have to learn about sex.
i feel bad for colin. all his credibility got used up by the bush administration. good thing he got out when he did.
