Bush, LMAO Yeah Palmer has had a great defense around him. 32 out of 32 NFL GM's would take Brady, Manning, Favre and Palmer over McNabb if they needed 1 qb for 1 season. I would take Brees as well and others I bet would as well and then after that Donovan is still not the clear cut guy
bret farve has been playing terrible till this season. so in reality there have probably been two qbs better than him in the past 6 years, manning and brady, three in the last three years, manning brady palmer, and four including last season, manning brady palmer and brees. yeah, that makes him soooooo overrated. STOP POSTING
Brees was the worst QB in the 1st 4 games this season, no one threw him under the bridge like a red hot chilli pepper.
Nope they threw the whole team under the bridge, then they realized after a four game winning streak that in such a sucky division, that the playoffs are still obtainable.
How did they throw him under a bridge. They gave him a one year contract (franchise tag) worth 8 figures. HE then went and signed a 5 year $50 million contract.
Favre played in two super bowls and won one, he is a three time MVP that is why you would trust him more.
was he better than Rivers? yes or no? is he better than Rivers? yes or no? The owner Alex Spanos told the gm to not sign a better Brees because they spent so much money and such a high pick on Rivers so yeah he did get thrown under the bus.
Would you take Troy Aikman or Terry Bradshaw over him, too? Favre has been beyond terrible the last few years. The last two years combined, he's thrown 38 TDs and 47 INTs.
He's reaching guys. First it is his pay rate, then it is his personnel, then it is the other quarterbacks in the league, then it is what the other quarterbacks in the league have done 10 years ago. He keeps trying.
Again, how did McNabb choke? He was the most productive offensive threat on the team. How did he choke?
As someone who has wanted the Iggles to lose virtually every game they have played, if anything McNabb has been underrated. Since about year 2 in his professional career I am fairly certain his team has been the top NFC performer in the regular season and number of playoff wins over that period. All despite a fairly poor running game (Westbrook is a fine overall back, but no, the Iggles have not had a consistant running game nor for the most part respectable WRs except the TO years--at least compared to typical playoff teams). His teams won coutless regular season and playoff games simply because he was far superior to the other teams QB, and made positive plays out of nothing. Now McNabb I don't think has near the impact he once had, but is still a very good player the the Iggles would be hard pressed to do better. If he had the talent of say the Giants or Carolina or TB or Chi or Stl in their superbowl years spanning his career, McNabb would have superbowl MVPs. But his teams always had flaws, and the most complete team they got then ended up losing to a great NE team in a good fight--and BTW TO was not even available in the playoffs until that game, yet McNabb and the Iggles got TO that chance.
