My favs are

Akira, despite one of the wierdest plot twists of all time
Ghost in the shell
Vampire Hunter D
Ninja Scroll

What are some other good action/Sci Fi anime?

Has anyone seen the sequel to Vampire Hunter D?

t1. All of the ones I've never been forced to watch

somewhere around 3000. Princess Mononeke (actually watched it and didn't fall asleep when it came on the movie channel in Jester last year).

I absolutely love Cowboy Bebop. I've been watching it on Cartoon Network (as a part of Adult Swim), and I'm hooked.

Ghost in the Shell is also a classic.

Akira and Princess Mononoke were good. My favorite, though, is Grave of the Fireflies.

Princess Mononoke was good too. I always say Princess Mueneke, though.

Serial Experiments Lain (Never has my brain been so thoroughly turned into tapioca pudding)
Neon Genesis Evangelion (Starts off as just another Mech anime, then gets REALLY weird)
Ruroni Kenshin (Meji era fun with the manslayer turned good guy Kenshin)

I know we aren't supposed to judge books by their covers, but how could anyone take something with such a godawfully lame name like "Cowboy Bebop" seriously?

My favorite would have to be Ninja Scroll. The fight between Jubei and T'sai
rocked. I also like Vampire Hunter D alot but havent seen the sequel. Another fairly good was is Wrath Of The Ninja.

LOL! Apparently there's a live action La Blue Girl... I never quite understood the point.
