What would have to happen, or how many losses would it take for the Rockets organization to make changes with the team and/or the coaching staff? My opinion is that if the team does not start winning once Francis and Rice return to form, we will see some drastic changes being made.
The problem wasn't clear until Francis went out. So once Francis comes back, even if they start winning, something will have to be done to prevent another long losing streak in the event he goes out again. Don't forget, Mo has been out all year, so that's a portion of the everyday offense there. All this losing streak has really done is magnified the cracks in the offense and system. If management is wise, they will take this into account and try and fix these problems, whichever way they see fit, whether it be through trade, or whatever it takes.
I think the minimum number of losses has already been exceeded. I think the stretch of games without Taylor and Francis has done for us is it has shown us what these other guys are made of. If the team can fall completely apart when 2 key players are injured, something has to change. I don't think we'll see some midseason overhaul or anything. For next season though, I'd expect changes would be made to (1) improve the bench and (2) diversify the offense.
