mike james is last year's luther....
but on steroids

or rather

mike james 07 = mike james 04 (or 05 if you count that we got him only in the spring)

 

James can finishing at the basket or shooting from outside.

 

I think Steve and Mike are a better fit than Mike and Luther. I believe RA is beginning to see that Luther is a liability on defensive end, rebounding, and adding value. I would love to see Luther's +/- on the floor.

 

mike james is a much better all around player than head. james can actually penetrate and score off the dribble which head never did last year.

 

sure. head had a +7 last night, while t-mac had a -2. in other words +/- is the most useless stat in the world. steve and mike are NOT better fits than mike and luther. that makes no sense. steve and mike bring the same thing, scoring. head brings spot up shooting and range. you need a spot up shooter to play off a scorer. mike and luther is much better than mike and steve.

 

the always pissed off Mike James has several drawbacks:

he can not play well with TMAC or Yao, yet.

He can not play well against Mavs, because he hates them too much.

other than those, he is a perfect fit for Rockets and he makes our bench on par with elite level.
