Since a lot of y'all either go to UT or have gone I'm sure some of you have tested out of the first gov't class, 310.

I took the AP test in high school so now I have to take the 20 questioin test on Texas Gov't to get credit for the class. My question is, how hard is the Texas part of the test and how should I study for it. Any good references or small study packets or something that I could look at to help me out. Or should I not study at all. And if it's possible to know this, how many of the 20 questions do you have to get right to pass.

    Thanks for the answers.

Unless you covered Texas Government in high school, I wouldn't take the test cold. I took the test two summers ago. It wasn't that hard. There were some tricky questions that I probably missed, but I still passed. I prepared for the test by checking out one of their recommended textbooks.

    hey f4p,

I tested out of the texas gov't portion last semester at UT. All i can say is that it aint a joke. I got different stories from people, some saying that it was easy to some saying that it was hard.

I ended up getting an A, but I was clueless on some of the questions on the test. It all depends on your other gov't AP score. The higher the score on that test, the more Q's you can miss on the TEXAS portion. Fortunately, I was able to miss about 4 q's and still manage. I bought a study guide from the CO-OP on TEXAS gov't by Harper Collins. A very slim book. That should do the trick. Good luck man..
