Was it just me, or were the refs still particularly bad today?

The calls in the favor of the Spurs was still kinda meh, even though we won.

The overturned calls in the first half were annoying. As was the blatent Manu flop in the second half. The start of the third with the four fouls in the first two minute kind of got to me too. But hey, we won....and convincingly despite it all.

I'll agree with you on the overturned calls & Manu's flop, outside of that, I thought the officiating was pretty even.

No trust me, the refs tonight were unbelievably atrocious. I was at game, center court row 6 and saw it up close. It was one ref in particular, the black guy number 63 who literally did not make one call in favor of the rockets. Everyone around me was heckling the guy asking him how much he had bet on san antonio, he was honestly so blatantly biased in favor of san antonio that the other refs felt obligated to make up for his calls. FWIW he is the one who overturned the calls too.

It just seemed absolutely ridiculous out there at times tonight. I thought the NBA would have told the refs to avoid crap like that, especially given what happened over the summer.

Was it a day when a basketball game was being played by NBA teams?

Then yes, the referees were bad.

Yeah, you would think so, because pretty much the first thing everyone was yelling at 63 was how much he had bet on the spurs, or what the spread was, etc. He was so blatant it was ridiculous.

I agree. It wasn't game changing bad. Just your typical Ginobli bail outs. one of the overturned calls, I have to admit was the right call. When Bowen knocked it off of T-Mac's leg but that could have arguably been a reach in foul. The Spurs rep proceeds them like it or not.
