yao misses dunks more often than he should. if he lays it up instead of dunking, that means he's not comfortable dunking. forcing him to dunk only results in more missed dunks.
Did anybody record Yao palming the ball and dunking it over two people. That was sweet. Yao needs to do that more often
This team has deeper bench than it had last year, with many fire powers. Once rox knows how to control the tunrovers (TOs < 10), esp. TOs in Qtr4, rox will be a champion contender.
Just got done watching the highlight on ESPN. They show several highlights of Yao dunking and the guy just say "he's tall"...Fukin lame a$$.
i'm surprised how well we are playing w/o Scola being effective yet. I think him and steve will put us over the top.
yao logged in 42 mins tonight! it looks like yao's on his way to averaging more than 35 mins for the first time in his career. the downside, though, is he probably will drop in the efficiency ratings.
i dont wanna get ahead of myself since it was just one game, but i think we are one of the teams that could give the Spurs a lot of trouble. we matchup very well with them and they don't seem to have an answer when Yao, Bonzi, Battier, T-Mac, and James are on the floor. Out of the big three we match up the best with the spurs because they play our tempo and arent very athletic. the next two are obviously the mavs and suns. we'll have trouble with both of them because they are more athletic than us and their perimeter plays is much better than ours.
You never know who might be watching and has never seen Yao before, so now he knows that he's tall. Reporting at it's finest.
I was harsh on Adelman after yesterday. After this game, I have to say Adelman is all right. That said, the team is still pretty stagnant most of the time - don't yet see a lot of movement. Imagine when the team starts to get it .... Today's game is really the result of grunt and gutsy plays, well, ala JVG.
The coolest thing today was the dunk from the oldest man of NBA. Did he learn that from Yao's move one day ahead.
From the homepage of Yahoo Sports........ With the 1994 & 1995 Championship banners in the background. Beautiful.
