Todays been a fairly boring day on the site, so I figured I'd let you in on one of my poderings. As some of you know, I live in Montrose, which is about a mile away from Midtown. I can walk it in about 20-30 minutes, depending on my intoxication level. So I'm fully aware that there is no WWI, Anyway, I'd like to cut down on that time frame. So I'm thinking of other options. Like perhaps I should get a bike. I'm quite sure there is no such thing as a BWI. But the other one that has been intriguing is getting a Segway. Personally, I think it would be pretty cool to Segway back to the house afterwards. However, I'm not sure what the law would be to riding home on one of these contraptions. Is there such a thing as a SWI? I'm perplexed.
I thought you can get some sort of police problem for "BWI".. but I'm not 100% on that. Regardless, it's probably not a good move. You're in some danger there crossing streets and such depending on your level of intoxication. If there's something for biking, I'm guessing it applies to all vehicles, including a segway? Again, I could see anyone getting too drunk and then getting slammed by a car while crossing an intersection when they shouldn't..
I have also heard of someone getting a BWI before. Might not be in Texas though. You can take those small razor blade motor powered scooters, which usually run for a third of a cost of Segway. Like this but with a motor: By the way the whole premise of the thread is very funny to me for some reason when I try to vizualize it.
you get a ticket for public intoxication, depending on how drunk you are and the officer... take a cab, get a friend to drive you, or stay sober...
Yeah, but you pretty much have to bring attention to yourself. As long as you can stay off the road, they've got no reason to bug you.
How are you going to haul these whales home that you pick-up from the bars on a segway? Also, it rains all the time in Houston. Keep that in mind. I'd just take a cab.
