Whether you like Rudy or not . . . It seems he coached a Good Game. I think he did. Had a better Game plan. Was a better motivator. [I think Our guys did not need much motivation but . . .] What ya think Clutch City Folx Rocket River
R&R, that is an impossibility. As anyone who yaps here on a regular basis knows, Rudy can only roll the ball out on the floor. Plus, he's useless with that guy who wears 34. So, Rudy coach a good game, I think not! : )... By the way, who should replace Rudy ? Let's see, that's Portland, Miami and LA in 10 days. Too bad he can't beat a top team.
yep, that lil b*stard Rudy doesn't even know how to celebrate...KAPAYAAA???? This guy should have been fired a long time ago.
Yeah, Rudy loves to play against the triple post.. In case you didn't know, Phil, da Zen Master, isn't the brains behind the Triangle. It is Tex Winter, his white haired assistant. I didn't think Rudy knew how to do anything except the low post, kick out for a three. I have been suprised to see the movement that we have been getting as well as the high screens.
I'll tell you one thing: we were sagging on Shaq and clogging up their campfire picking leaving the 20 footer open. The fact that Jackson never made a serious effort to counter that with Rice is his failure. Rudy had a better game plan, overcame adversity (francis foul trouble), and used Mobley and Cato very well at the end. Most of the Drew stuff I have to take my hat of the Drew, as a couple of the drives were broken plays. But the Mobley/Cato offense was largely planned based on Shaq's poor defensive decisions. Did anyone else see Rudy tell the team Shaq was illegal? The next time down, they ISO'd Mobley and got the illegal defense call. After that, Mobes and Cato made Phil pay for having Shaq leave Cato. yesh! You must give Rudy the nod on out-coaching Phil. LA had a poor defensive game-plan for the Mobes ISO and did not get Rice involved when we were challenging LA to take the 20-footer.
Rudy T is a great coach....great at recognizing talent....and great for the NBA. Phil Jackson? Overrated. He had MJ. Anyone could have won titles with MJ, Pip and the supporting cast. But I have an interesting theory about MJ: He was a demon, capable of possessing players and making them play well for his team when needed. But when they left the team for greener pastures, MJ took away their soul, basketball talent, and desire to win. See Pippen, Kerr, Levingston, Perdue, King, etc. ------------------ HOOP-T
