Rafer can best be described as hot garbage in my opinion. Unless there's another team as poor at judging point guards as Houson is (see recent track record of their point guards) then apparently the Rockets are stuck with him.

What other team is dumb enough to want him? Minny? They already have crappy points with contracts they need to get rid of. Knicks? Well same thing.

I think the reason Alston plays is because you could always say to Spanoulis "You suck" and he would just "complain". You could always say to Francis "you suck" and he would just "complain." But benching Alston may put you in danger with his past criminal record of violence which dates back to 1997. And I'm not even talking about the disputed recent incidents. I'm talking about the ones he had to admit to in court.

Pure PG should be like Nash or Bibbi. Dish to the open man whenever possible, but able to finish yourself if needed.

my question is, why would you start this thread, as if, this hasn't even been talked about? This is not fresh, and what has made you think "Morey telling RA to showcase Rafer to hopefully bait a team into trading for him"? for your sake?

Holy sh*t this was funny to read. Rafer is 10000x a better basket ball player then you and 1000x smarter, more reasonable, delightful and a better character then you. Get this garbage post out of here, it doesn't even make sense. You clearly have no idea of how Houston's offense is run or Rafer Alston's character.

By your logic Rafer starting infront of James and Francis has nothing to do with his ability to control the tempo and present a stable point guard at running the offense. I'm not going to bother going into details with you, since I can judge your low intellect by seeing wot an idiotic post you made on your 3rd post, way to go.

Oh and yes if we benched Rafer his going to bring his going to be mega violent and drop a nuclear missle on Houston.

Don't you dare insult the intellect of NBA head coaches with much more brain and money then you and don't you dare insult a delightful hard-working character like Rafer (leaving out his obvious on-court deficiancies). In the off-season when 95% of fans decided to crucify him he did not give up, loved the city and came back to claim the starting job over Francis.

You sir, are garbage, dirty garbage.

what the hell does jason terry hitting jump shot after jump shot have to do with "starting caliber pg" or francis for that matter?

Like francis was going to lock terry down? it didnt matter, he was on fire and when he's hitting you cant stop it.

amazing how rafer is the scapegoat, meanwhile EVERYONE outside tmac and yao played poorly (save luther). MJ shot worse that rafer and got burned just as bad. Bonzi played like garbage other than rebounds. Rebounding in general was pathetic.

Again, I'm not pinning this loss on Rafer, only restating his obvious mediocrity questioning the reason he's getting so much playing time. I'd rather develop Brooks or play Francis into shape than to take this same train again, because we all know how it's going to end when we go into the playoffs and have to face a top WC PG.

This loss is more on Tmac trying to beat Kobe at a scoring title than Rafer doing nothing, which is what we can expect since he is facing a 3rd tier PG.

Rockets, you have a problem when rafer still is your starting point guard.

    first take a deep breath.

Francis is never going to lock down Terry. But Francis can do his own damage on the offensive side of the court. The only damage Reefer can do is to his own trade value by continuing to play crappy on the offensive and the defensive side.
